page 25 of the owners manual will explain how to put the TV in 1080i mode. Your source, if you use satelite or cable, must also be in 1080i mode. There's a problem on the power supply board. Take off the back of the TV and look for darkened or burnt components. Capacitors in metal cans can go bad. Look at the tops of them to see if they are completely flat. If they are domed or puffed up then they need to be replaced.

The main board has an issue and its not recognizing the input.
