When turning on Sb-4100 I get message
Hi rbrown454. That file is for your HP printer. Go to hp.com and click on support and drivers and download the latest driver for your printer. While it's downloading go to add/remove programs in Control Panel and uninstall ALL HP software. Do not restart, wait for the software to finish downloading and restart. Then reinstall the software you downloaded from the internet.
In case you have the CD, reinstall the CD but make sure you uninstall ALL HP Software.
I hope this helps. Please do not forget to rate and provide positive feedback for our fast/free support today. Thank you :D

Computer won't boot, it loops over and over.
Hi,
Sounds like corruption in the registry. Have you tried booting in safe mode? Try hitting the F8 key on boot and see if you can get it to boot in safe mode.
Cheers,
Ripface.

Gateway e-4100 thermal event
There can also be thermal sensors in your power supply, on your motherboard, and video card. Does your problem happen during gaming/heavy computing, after x amount of time, or totally randomly?
If your case conforms to the later ATX spec or some derivative thereof, don't block the hole in the side of the case.
Just some stuff I've run into, maybe you already know this!

Gateway sb-4100-b won't recognize new memory
Check the owners manual of your computer for the correct installation of 2 sticks of memory, this can be critical on computers with 2 banks of 2 slots, it will also tell you the maximum ram that will work. If you do not have the manual, go to the manufactures website and then go to the support link, and browse for memory installation. BPCS

System recovery Floppy
you can purchase locally a usb floppy drive and download some small utilities in the internet that can be fit in the floppy disk, but i suggest that better use memory stick because it is cheaper and you can have more space than floppy disk.

I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?
This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor.
The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port.
I hope this helps.

How to make touch screen on gateway computer upside down and how to put it back?
f you want to use your touch screen on your gateway computer in an upside down orientation, there are a few things you need to do.
First, you need to change the orientation of the screen in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Display." Next, click on the "Settings" tab and then click on the "Orientation" drop-down menu. Select "Landscape (flipped)" from the menu and then click on the "Apply" button.
Now that the orientation of the screen has been changed, you need to adjust the position of the touchscreen so that it is in the correct position. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Hardware and Sound." Next, select "Pen and Touch" and then click on the "Calibrate" button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touchscreen. Once you have finished, the touchscreen should be working correctly in the upside down orientation.
I hope this helps!
