Hiya. It is possible to fix so long as it is not caused by the laptop warping slightly. If it's the teeth that have broken then you need to replace that part - it's not particularly easy to do tho and normally means taking the screen plastics off. Any computer shop could do this - at a price. Alternatively you could buy the part from Ebay and do it yourself for less than £10. It's a matter of removing all the screws on the front of the screen (often hidden under black covers). Splitting the front from the back casing - carefully because it is easy to crack the thin plastic, and watch that nothing slips out of place (you want to see how it comes off so you can put it back on the same way). The clip may just sit there or could be screwed in position. Replace the part and reverse the order to get everything back. Lots of fiddly work and not worth the trouble unless it is really being a nuisance.

It could be done but is not an economical task. The cost of spare parts to make the change would probably exceed the value of the machine.

If you really want a 15" display, buy a used T31 (eBay?) configured the way you want it and then sell yours.

I take it you are trying to "send to" files to the DVD-RW?You can't burn a DVD just with windows XP . It only supports CDRW drives.

Get commercial software like Roxio or Nero, or download a free CD burning program like this one:

you disable the system restor and update your antiviruse.boot in safe mode and scan your pc for viruse.then you have to reinstall your motherboard drivers again.if the problem is there plz report back

It's one of two things, the more likely of the two is that that battery is totally shot, laptop battery's are usually only good for 1.5 years then loose there ability to retain a charge. It sounds like that one's just done. Unfortunately that those batteries cost more than there worth, 100 bucks or more. The second possibility is the power cord, is that the original power cord for that? Or was on that was bought aftermarket, some aftermarket chargers will only power your laptop and not charge. Also remove the battery and check for corrosion. You can build your own battery for a laptop if got a few hours time, and are good with a soldering gun. you need to open up laptop and firstly check connections and lead to fan then check fan for dust and debris ,to check fan need to remove cover above it.check if fan freely spins if a bit sticky or stiff pull off plastic fan and clean off motor shaft.you wouldnt think so but hairs and stuff over a period of time accumulate there.with the pc turn on try to physically spin it .if nothing at all fan needs replacing.it could also be the power to the fan but this is unlikely for the mere fact that pc has detected problem in first place.

format thr full hard dirve and reinstall the OS again

This is probably a memory or mother board failure.

Either way if the computer works OK nothing to worry about.

Well yes BUT if it is a problem with the LCD then you would need to replace try plugging an external monitor to see if the sizes are normal if they arent then it is definately a problem with the screen resolutions.??
