looks like its running on IBM PC DOS. code page 708 - arabic. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc195061.aspx however if you are using windows, then you may need an arabic windows, just adding an arabic languge file wont help. IBM PC Dos doesnt have an arabic option. you can download the ibm surepos 100 4613 technical reference manual which is what i did for you. but it no help in that arabic is not an option. research using arabic with DOS. because your keyboard is basically a PC one working in DOS.

Most likely the small 'roller' on the LHS of the paper feed shaft is missing. This roller engages the metal 'yoke' on the LHS when the printer lid closes and provides a suitable pressure for the paper to contact the thermal head. They break into 2 pieces sometimes and fall away from the shaft. Solution: remove circlip and replace the roller if you can get one. I have them made.

Hello all,had the same problem and my solution was to install the latest driver available at the IBM service/driver website. Then unistall it with another IBM driver cleaning tool, then repeat both processes a couple of times, until the printer responded. There is some bug on these latest drivers an older Windows versions, so only after some installations and repairs on the first install, windows gets it right. VERY STRANGE but it worked in 2 machines, both IBM terminal and 4610-tf6 IBM printer.By the way; RS232 ibm cable...I believe its a null modem 9 pin...not a regular serial cable.Dip pin config: my printers have 4 so; 1ON 2ON 3OFF 4OFF which means1 size of paper you are using 80mm2 if you use an IBM software or other:other3 if xon/off or DTR/DSR:hardware4 com speed: 9600baud or 19200baud, 9600That's what I igured out. you may need a new thermal head

Clean the thermal head surface.... If the line is still there, then the driver for the head probably has a shorted device. This will require repair at a shop capable of this work.

change flow control to hardware, slow baud rate down

If it is in the same exact spot every time it is not just a cleaning issue, although it wouldn't hurt to try I suppose. Do you know how to get to the thermal print head? Try rubbing a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol on the print head.... If it doesn't make a difference, which I don't think it will, the print head will need to be replaced.

very possible but you may need to disable the firewall if you have one then disable the antivirus . then try to reinstall software for the printer and follow directions closely. biigg53566

Go to the IBM web site, select your printer model and OS type. Follow the onscreen instructions.

It should have been sent to pasture many years ago as it is 35 years old!

Check if they are on the wheel. They had a habit of spokes snapping off.
