Your microphone needs a phantom power supply. Sorry for asking but you don't mentioned anything about any mic-preamplifier or other device. In case you connect the mic direct at the sound card of the PC, this is your problem. Please clarify me your set up in order to make you suggestions.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

If you feel the shield goes to the middle, try red on one terminal and white on the other. If not, reverse it.

If it's labeled on the circuit board...pin 1, pin 2, pin 3, then pin 1 is usually ground, pin 2 is hot (red), and pin 3 is cold.

Might have to have windows find it and/or or use the windows disc if it asks for it! Might have to consult
a good "PC" shop/store!

Is it a condenser mic? Either your mic is bad or you need to add a compresser to your signal path...

Pins 2&3 are the correct ones to use for checking the voice coil. Pin 1 is chassis ground and should always read infinite resistance to the other two.

That microphone has an impedance of 100 ohms, so if you are reading 30 ohms you clearly have a problem with the voice coil.

Good Luck

Hi Nic

Thats exactly how you do it:) Some times it doesnt matter what you do, you will get strange resonances. Careful EQ is the best way to tone it down. Some guitars will present boominess on certain notes, thats just the way they are. Acoustics rely on this boominess to some degree. Good luck and happy recording. :) Happy to talk more to you about it.

If it is UHF and fairly new, select the frequency on the transmitter and then power up the receiver, press search and it should find it.

Use an alternative device connected to the input the turntable usually connects to. If both channels work ok the new turntable is clearly faulty and should be returned under warranty.
