i have the same problem,, and i just talked with the supportgroup of hp,, and he told me it is the ccd chip,, it is broken, and you can get it fixed,, but it is cheaper for you to just buy a new camera,, hope i helped ya,,

SAME thing happened to me, I love the camera but the switch broke off gotta use a pen or other small object to slide it over. I want a repair but hp said it will cost the same price as buying a new camera. I HATE HP!!!

I am having the same problem the lens is stuck out and the battery is not charging. HELP!!!!!

remove battery pack and memory card then replace should work.

Try putting it in the freezer for a few hours. I was able to get my battery out by doing this. The downside is there will be condensation. So make sure you allow it to dry completely before using again.

same problem! anyone heard any solutions?? i can't get the red light off, and i can't get the camera to turn on. help!

The "White Balance" may not be set to "auto". Read your manual on "White Balance", "Saturation", "adaptive lighting", and "EV Compensation". All of these can affect coloration to one degree or other. If it's an "SD" card, there's a switch on the side of the card.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Some cameras can deface your pictures by scrawling a string of numbers across them.
