I am trying to pair a Blackberry 8900 to the HS830
Put the headset in PAIRING mode, if it has been paired with another phone, it will not accept a new pairing or another phone until you put it in pairing mode again. Press the button until the LED gets steadily ON, search the headset and pair it with the new phone. It only accepts one paired phone at a time.

The microphone is not working
Hello! I had this exact same headset before I got my current Jawbone - and I had the same problem after about 8 months of pretty heavy usage. I did some searching and found a fix that worked, but it involves taking the unit apart, but is otherwise quite simple (and worth it, IMO) :)
Start by removing the plastic cover that surrounds the main button on the front. This can be done by firmly holding the headset and gently prying up on the lanyard loop (as indicated by the arrow) - this plastic cover is simply held on with double sided adhesive. Once you have it removed, you will see a small Torx head screw (size is T5). Remove the screw and the headset can be pulled apart. NOTE: Do this over a table or tray so that if you do happen to drop the button, or the spring under it - you can find it again. :)
Now - my problem was the spring under the button - and I use the term spring very loosely here - it was actually just a piece of foil and tape - was sitting on the board, and not actually working to activate the button. If you simply reset that tape so it doesn't contact the board - it should work again. At least mine did.
I hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!

How to pair a Motorola HS850 bluetooth headset
How to place a Motorola HS 850 bluetooth headset into paring mode:
- Close the boom to turn the unit off.
- Hold down the call button until the blue light comes on.
- While holding down the call button, swing the boom open.
The headset is now in pairing mode, and you can search for it using your phone. When it asks for a PIN, use 0000.
