Download pix from sony n50
Two ways - either attach the camera to a spare USB port on the computer with the supplied lead, and treat the camera as a satellite drive, or else remove media device and use a separate card reader to copy the images to the computer.

Hi,
In this model camera usually have many language options, but some versions especially marketed in particular countries provides a single language of the respective region like japan. if your cam is bought from there, no chance to change the language.

Hi,
you didn't mentioned the model number, is your cameras lens coming out ?
if the lens part struck or broken this way happens, the remedy is to replace the lens portion.
below is a typical lens part, you can see the gears break in it .

Camera is turned on but display still black
Hi,
is your cam showing previous captured picture ?
if the picture in the memory card is OK, then the fault must be in camera, the shutter may be not opening or the CCD may be faulty,
if the shutter struck , in ON position just give a jerk to the lens side with your finger, it will help to open it, if the ccd is faulty, must open and replace with the same model. if the LCD is faulty ,must replace it.
below is the shutter and Iris unit,

A typical CCD
