Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F707 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I have tried two different batteries and niether of my cameras will work. DSC-W80
Always be sure the battery is charged and suited for your camera.
Check contacts of the battery and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.
Always charge the battery before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera.
If you have a multi meter, you can check your battery. After charging the voltage should be higher (few tenths of a volt) than the voltage printed on the battery.
If the voltage is slightly lower, you know thee will be not enough left when the battery needs to deliver some power.
Camera shuts down when try to take picture
You can try using NIMh batteries instead of using of using the conventional. Most other cameras with similar problems have turned to function normally by using the above mentioned cameras.

'dear sir, i am having
Hi,
The problem is that if you ever use the memory stick on other camera besides the Sony DSC-F707 or format the memory stick on a computer instead of using the camera's format feature, then you will experience the "Memory Stick Error C:13:01" problem.
Here's the solution that finally will solve your issue. Take any lead pencil. Take the eraser and rub it on the gold contacts on the memory stick as if you are erasing writing on paper.
Do this for about 30 seconds or more until you get all the gold contacts. Put the stick in the camera, switch to 'Setup', then turn the camera on. The 'C:13:01' error will automatically disappear. At this point, quickly format the memory stick using the camera's format feature.
CAUTION: NEVER FORMAT YOUR MEMORY STICK ON OTHER CAMERAS, USING A COMPUTER WITH A MEMORY STICK READER OR USING WINDOWS XP WITH A USB CABLE PLUGGED TO THE CAMERA. IT DOESN'T WORK. FORMAT YOUR MEMORY STICK USING THE CAMERA'S BUILT IN FUNCTION ONLY.
Please revert me, if you need more assistance, i would be very glad to assist you more.
If you were satisfied with the solution please rate this sollution.

This seems to be an issue with the CCD Image Sensor failure in the Camera. If you're able to view the previously captured images and display icons on the Camera, then the issue is with the CCD.
Try resetting the Camera to resolve the issue.
The RESET button is located inside the Battery / Memory Stick cover. To reset the camera, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.
Please make sure that you turn ON the Camera before you reset it.
If the issue is not resolved, then remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally.
If the issue persists, service may be required.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
My sony don,t read memory sitck
Hello :
Look for a tiny switch on the side of the SD card . This switch indicated [ Locked or Unlocked ] . You need to unlock it . If that didn't help , then you need to format the SD card before using it . If that didn't help also , then the problem is with your Camera and not with the SD card . there also must be a sensor in the [ reader on the camera ] which detects the position of the switch. Maybe there is dirt in the sensor. The best way to check would be to try another SD card . but you could try blowing out any possible dirt and see if that fixes the problem .
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RATE !
GOOD LUCK .

This camera is affected by the CCD issue and there was a Recall earlier to get it repaired under extended warranty which has been withdrawn. Please contact the Service center to replace the CCD of the Camera. If you're located in the U.S, you can visit the website below to create the repair request.

Camera will not turn on. Already replaced
Hi,
as per your camment you already replace the battry thats means no problem in battery Ok Firstly please follw the steps, remove memory card(if have),power resourses like AC power adaptor and batteries and wait some some just about 10 min, than reinsert the battrie and AC power adaptor, swith on the camera without memory card,if it is work and than insert ithe memory card otherwise reinsurt the memory card correctly and close the memory card door properly if the camera working fine other wise follw the third instuction that check the AC power supply, this is connect properly through input or not.connect the properly and turn on the camera and check issue is resolved
If you not find the solution thats means your camera has been damaged, need the service of camera and second resion is if you insert the battry incorrectly ,some issue
One more resion is images in memory card, firstly download ths images in system and formate the card.
Thanks,
I have a dsc-f707 and the camera claims no memory
I only got one reply and it was a "spam ad" selling offers from different camera repair companies. I ended up calling a local camera repair place and basically was told that the camera is nonfixable. The cost to repair is most likely going to cost the same as buying a new 12M pixal camera. So, why fix it?
I insert a memory stick and it says
You should purchase online from some secure seller.
Like
here, its Sandisk Homepage.
