That is a complicated question. Are you wanting to change the transmitter bluetooth module or the receiving one (usually an earbud or headphone.). Basically to change those settings you will need to connect and FDDI to UART module to your bluetooth module at the RX and TX pins and connect the FDDI to UART usb port to your computer usb port, then open up a terminal program, connect to the Bluetooth module via the FDDI/UART module. A terminal program such as CoolTerm can help you do that. You might also read bluetooth module information on SparkFun for more help.

Try going to another location. If the batteries are still on and your old headset is nearby, it may be blocking your device from "seeing" the new headset because it is connected to your old headset which is lost but near by.

You will need to tell us more. What model radios are you using? Can you hear others talking but not your friend with the other radio? If you can hear other talking, the problem my be a defective transmit circuit on the friends radio. If you can not hear any one, you may a a defective receiver or broken antenna. Can the other person hear you?

It sounds like the batteries are dead. If that is the case, you will need to replace the batteries. Is that possible with your headset or are they built in? The other thing that may be happening is your charger is dead. Try using a different charger and see if the headset charges. Lastly, your charge cable may be defective and needs to be replaced.

The static tells me that your audio chip is working, but the stages ahead of that are not feeding a signal to the audio amplifier. The intermittent receive sounds like a bad antenna connection, or bad contacts on your transmit - receive circuits. I don't know the Cobra 29 LXBT circuitry, but likely a relay is switching between transmit and receive when you press the mic key. You could try connecting your antenna to the pins on the relay that carry the rf signal to the receiver circuitry. If you suddenly starting picking up signals, you know the switch is the problem, as you have by passed the switch momentarily. Don't try to transmit in this condition.

Often the yellow wire is for the clock to keep the clock running even if the radio is turned off. It is not meant to power the entire radio. The yellow wire is usually always on even if you turn off the key switch. You also need to have a ground or negative terminal connected to the radio, and also a 12 volt positive wire that is switched on and off by your key switch. The color of this wire is often red, but could be other colors depending on your vehicle.

It is an OLD scanner. New digital frequencies are not available to this scanner. The good news, though, is that all Uniden/Bearcat scanners in the 14X series are nearly identical in features and operation, so you can follow the link below to download/print the manual for the BC148XLT:

You need adobe reader to read the content.

I have only done the UV5 series but I believe it is the same procedure. If using chirp, install the drivers from Baofeng that were with the programming cable,. then install Chirp. Even if it doesn't show complete go ahead and open Chirp. After that, the updates for chirp will install OK.

Verify the offset is correct. Was it programmed with chirp or another software. Transmit may have been disabled or programmed out of band.

Typically you press the button on the front that is marked T/A. It means "talk around" or talk without the towers. It is simplex. Hopefully no one changed that buttons action.

Your question is not very specific. Do you have a programming cable? Can you access the internet on a laptop with a USB port for that cable? You CANNOT program radios from a phone or tablet. Get the programming cable, I got mine on Amazon. This is the software I like to use:

It obviously works, so it is NOT a fuse. The most likely cause is a poor antenna connection. This happens often. Unscrew the antenna. Use a continuity meter to check check each connector. Such as the one that screws into the radio, if the continuity meter "beeps" the connector is "grounded" and was installed improperly. Do not use that antenna until you fix it, you could blow the transmitter by using a "grounded" connector. Test it exactly the same way without the antenna attached. If you are not used to installing connectors, you could easily go through 2-6 before you get the hang of them.
