Repair
Fist you flip the cube so that you are looking at the battery charger. There will be four allen screws on the box and four on the outside tubing. Remove all eight of the screws. You might have to use a small hammer to remove the tubing. By removing the tubing it will be easier to get to the inside of the radio. Then open up the charger door, there will be eight philips head screws. The four on the outside need to be taken out. The four that look like they are holding clips on do not need to be taken out. Then the whole back should come off. Be careful the aaa battery thing that keeps the time right is connected with a red wire is kind of tight, that is why taking the tube off helps. You should see the aux plug in on the side. Use hot glue to reattach the plug in. Then put the metal outer piece on if you still have it, if not I guess just be careful when plugging into it. You should be good.
Not charging batteries
There are one or two possibilities, the rechargeable batteries are exhausted and need to be replaced, "common problem" or the charging circuits are not putting out a voltage, if you are handy with a meter set it to DC volts to get a reading from the charger, if nothing is present the charger is defective and will need to be replaced.
There is a hum
HelloThe audio output section of your bombox has some short circuit inside it. it may be an IC short or capacitor short. The main rason for HUM is this. Never switch ON the set, until this fault has been rectified. It may cause the voice coil of the loaudspeakers will also get damaged. OK.
I have Bosch PB10-CD,, brand
The only thing you should do is to perform a full reset: remove the AC cord, remove the 3 AAA batteries and the battery pack if installed, press the power button for 15 seconds, wait for another 15 seconds, reinstall the AAA batteries, reinstall the pack, plug in the AC cable, wait for another 30 seconds then try to start it.
If it fails even now then the defect is hardware - something inside it has failed. Since this is a brand new unit it's clearly a manufacturing defect and covered by the warranty - take it back to the ones that sold it to you and have it replaced or contact a dealer to have it repaired for free.
My PB10-CD radio will not
Please check if your telescopic antenna is intact and not broken. Low signal strength is the most common reason for radios not to play. Also see if you have an external antenna socket at the back where you can plug a single piece of wire about 2 meters long and suspended it vertically.
The radio stopped getting power
If you remove the front face (radio side) you will see a black box. remove the screws and cover and inside upper left corner a little pcb, check the fuse.
I have only a blue screen - it worked yesterday
drop it off a 10 story building. It seems that all brands of jobsite radios are full of problems. On const. Sites I talk toowners of akl brands and almost all have problems. Bosch has most features but a little bib.
Bosch job radio was working fine Turned it off
Hi,
It tends to the problem of power supply .Check the connections are proper . If the connection is fine then you need to take to repair shop to get it repaired . Power supply unit is failing due to bad blown fuse or bad capacitor inside the unit .
Hope this helps .
Which Batteries can be used / charged in PB10-CD?
you can use any of the current 12-24Volt NiCad Batteries. BAT120 BAT140 BAT180 BAT181 and BAT240. You can also use the older platinum batteries that are listed in the OM, but you probably wont find those anymore. They were replaced by the bluecore batteries in 2005
