3Com SuperStack 3 4226T (3C17300-US) Networking Switch - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to check if the switch is manage or unmanaged
Managed switches you can enter the default ip into a web browser, login and "manage" settings" this default IP will be vendor specific. Unmanaged you just plug in devices and that's about it. Managed switches you will pay a lot more for. Some lower end ones maybe several hundred dollars and up. If you are buying switches at Best Buy they are almost all unmanaged.

HI,
I have two 3com
I don't know anything about these units, nor do I have time to source any docs for you, but maybe you can try connecting a PC directly to the port your patch panel is connecting the the switch from, you can at least see if that port is working.
My next and only other suggestion is to invest in a "LAN cable tester". In my area, you can find cheap ones for U$20.
The tester will allow you to check connectivity between any two ports, and allows you to test both patch links and individual CAT5/6 cables.
Good luck!

I want to know how I can re-set my 3Com 3crwe955275 wireless access point to its default factory settings. Can anyone help?
1 Remove power from the Gateway.
2 Disconnect all your computers and the cable/DSL modem from the Gateway router.
3 Using a straight through Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet Cable/DSL port on the rear of the Gateway to any one of the LAN ports.
4 Re-apply power to the Gateway. The Alert LED will flash as the Gateway starts up, and after approximately 30 seconds will start to flash more slowly (typically 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off). Once the Alert LED has started to flash slowly, remove power from the Gateway.
5 Remove the cable connecting the Cable/DSL port to the LAN port, and reconnect one of your computers to one of the Gateway LAN ports.
6 Re-apply power to the Gateway, and when the start-up sequence has completed, browse to:
http://192.168.1.1
and run the configuration wizard. You may need to restart your computer before you attempt this.
7 When the configuration wizard has completed, you may reconnect your network as it was before

What is 3x phone
For 3Com that would mean a 3100 series or 3500 series phones. The 3100 series phones are for NBX and VCX phone systems and the 3500 series phones are for VCX only. Both are also SIP compliant.

How reset 3com 4228g switch
If I remember correctly, there is a tiny hole at the back or on the side. Press a paper clip into it. The switch should do a full reset and then reboot. If its just locked up, I would switch off at the power for 15 mins and try let it do an auto restart itself. Do this before you go doing a full button press reset as you may lose any or all updates the switch has had loaded into it.
Network card driver
Are you able to remove the card from your PC?
and read the model on it?
Are you able to find your motherboard/computer model?
use the motherboard/computer model to find what model of card is on it.
Once you have the nic model search for a driver.
3COM 3100 entry phone, how to configure SIP
From Digium Mailing List:
3Com 3100 series phones do not support SIP with non-3Com systems. They have a basic boot loader which must download code from a 3Com NBX or a 3Com VCX system. If you don't have either of these, then you won't get runtime code on the phone, thereby making it impossible to use the thing with Asterisk.

Www google omegle
There could be a lot of reasons, one is port blocking, the other is firewall, there caould also be NAT port issues, what modem and internet provider do you have could be the problem.
