How do I use the CMOS AMI BIOS password decipherer

Why not just :
Use the CMOS reset jumper.
Pull the battery out.
Start the PC without RAM modules ( not on all MB's )
Try Master password for your BIOS ( use google )

Anyway it probably will not decipher your BIOS pass and will just null it anyway

Cannot open bios set up forgot bios password

Reset the motherboard BIOS. To do this:
1. Open your computer casing where the motherboard lies in.
2. Look for the BIOS jumper settings. It should be near the battery.
3. And there reset the bios settings. (To do this, refer to your motherboard manual.)
4. Once already done. Close the casing and power up your computer.
See how it works.:-)

Pc is saying hard drive not found

New PC or old PC?
New motherboard or old motherboard?
New hard-drive or old hard-drive?

Check the ribbon-cable between the motherboard and the disk-drive, to make sure that both ends are seated correctly.

Turn the computer off. Unplug the AC power-cord.
Touch the hard-drive -- is it "warm" or "cold" ?
Cold means that it is not getting any power.

Remove the hard-drive. Look at the labels on it. Write-down the manufacturer, model-number, serial-number, and manufacture-date. Go to the manufacturer's web-site, and enter the serial-number, to see if the drive is still under warranty.

Need help connecting the front panel connections

Here is a link to a manual for your motherboard that should be of benefit.

http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d850mv/sb/mdmvenglish.pdf

If you look closely enough, the markings for all connectors are printed on the motherboard. You must look VERY carefully and perhaps use a magnifying glass. But the manual should do the trick in assisting you.

Hope this is helpful.

I can not open my bios

Dom you see anything when you turn on the computer? Like the Whattype of board and as soon as you turn on nthe computer you should be rapidly pressing the f1, f2, or the delete button over and over, depending on what the bios key is? It should tell you this too at start up.. If you dont see anything replace the board, as it maybe a fault of the componets on the board and not the bios. Oh and make sure the Microprocessor is plugged in correctly too i seen that problem once before. good luck

3 beeps on boot no screen and boot stops

sounds like the motherboard trying to give you an error code. search beep codes for the type of motherboard you have and then you will get a possible cause of the interruption.

my friend once gave me an old ibm that had a beeping sound preventing it from booting. i googled ibm beep codes and learned that it was a video card error. i swapped the video card and problem solved

Black screen even the power is ok!!

Your Intel D850MV motherboard uses an AGP video card. There is no onboard video (built into the motherboard). Before replacing the video card try swapping out your monitor with another. Check for display. When the system is powered on can you hear the internals running? If the swapped out monitor does not show display you'll have to replace the AGP video card. The Intel D850MV motherboard only supports AGP cards that run at 1.5volts only & can run at 2x or 4x speed. Intel shows the difference between compatible 1.5v AGP card connector & the 3.3v non compatible video card connector. Click on the Intel link to see this; http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-009010.htm This next link shows a compatible AGP video card that will replace your old card; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4116644&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs Thanks for using fixya

I have a question on how to add RAM to an Intel D850MV.

According to specs your board can max out at 2GB. So you could fill all slots with 512 Gb sticks, 1GB total in each bank. You should always match RAM in pairs. You should be able to add just 1 stick in second bank as long as the first 2 banks are filled.

Support cd

All of the drivers are available on Intel's support site - using a different computer, you can use Nero, PowerISO, etc to make an image of your windows disk; Download the motherboard drivers on the same computer, then download and use WinLite - you can automate the windows installation, include drivers and Windows Update Patches, and burn it all onto a boot-able disk! (Basically, make your own System Recovery CD)

I cant play 5.1 chanel sound with motherbord

hi im josh in cebu phils.friend try this solution of mine this will help you.
Let's look at the simple stuff first. Is the card installed properly in your system unit? Have you connected the audio cable from your sound card to your CD-ROM/DVD drive? Are speakers (or headphones) hooked up to the card? Are the speakers plugged in and turned on? (And are they plugged into the correct jack? You don't want to plug your speakers into your microphone jack!) Are you performing a task on your PC that actually produces sound? Is the volume turned up loud enough (both on your speakers and in Windows)?
Okay, now that the easy stuff is out of the way, let's turn to something more difficult. The most likely cause of no sound is some sort of conflict. One by one, change your card's DMA, IRQ, and port settings. (This might entail resetting some jumpers on the card itself, as well as making some software-based changes.)
This problem can also occur if you add a new sound card to a system that has sound capabilities built into the motherboard. You'll need to disable the onboard sound before the new sound card can work. good luck
