Use an Ethernet cable to connect from one of the LAN ports on the ActionTec router to the network port on your iMac.
You should now have Internet access.
The next step is to start Safari on the Mac, and connect to the web-server "inside" the ActionTec router, e.g., try
http://192.168.0.1 and
http://192.168.1.1 and
http://192.168.2.1
Login to the router, and run the Wireless Networking Setup Wizard, to configure the wireless adapter:
* SSID -- the name of your network
* encryption-level, e.g., use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
* password for your SSID
Once you've done this, any of your wireless devices should be able to connect to that SSID, and gain Internet access.
