I cannot find my wep

When you configure the "wireless" interface inside the router, you define:
* SSID -- the "name" for your wireless network
* encryption-level -- use 'WPA' or 'WPA2', not 'WEP' (too easily "hacked")
* the password for your wireless network.

Then, on your wireless device, select the SSID, and enter the password, to connect.

How do i change the channel on my Actiontec router

You need to login into the admin console of the router using Admin login credentials. Once in the console you can go to wireless settings and chage the broadcasting channel.

Please rate if helpful.

Thanks

How find WEP on existing Linksys WRT 54G router.

You need to go to Main PC and login to this WAG54G with its IP address and on the setup page you have wireless tab under which you have wireless security. Click on Wireless Security here, if you have selected Security Mode as WEP then key1 is your WEP KEY.

You can get it by opening the router's setup page through IE and type http://192.168.0.1 and it will prompt you for username and password. Username is admin and password is password. Actiontec router log behavior

The router does store the information in itself. The router has a small region for storing information on operations and logs. That log might be accessible from the router's control panel. However, every router is different and therefore I can't guarantee that your router will allow you to view its log.

Most likely the router will store the log in the same area used to store the Router's firmware. This is a relatively small storage chip with just enough space to support the firmware of the router, the router's control panel source files, and the log.

Let me know if I can explain anything mentioned above in more detail or if I can assist you with anything else.

Need to find existing WEP ID, do not want to reset my WEP ID

Flip over your ACTIONTEC and you would see there the default wep key. If you've had it personalized before, you have to open the configuration page of your modem and check for the wep key.

To go to the configuration page, open your internet explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 on the address bar. that is the default address for your actiontec. type in your username and password when prompted. the usual default it ADMIN for username and PASSWORD (lowercase) for password. or you could also try ADMIN (uname)-ADMIN(pword).

click on the wireless settings icon and then click on basic security settings. scroll down on the middle of the page and you will see there your wep key.

if you are unable to open the configuration page because you forgot your username and password, you can reset your modem so that it the uname and password will go back to its factory default settings (admin/password). However, if you are using pppoe connection (authentication using username and password to connect to network) you can lose your connection and you would have to configure your router. so be careful not to press the reset button at the back.

Router MI424WR-D

Hi Steven,

You will not be able to setup this printer wirelessly to your router as it is because the printer has no networking capabilities(ethernet or wi-fi). If you want to share the printer throughout the network you need a wireless/wired print server or just enable file and printer sharing on the computer where the lexmark printer is connected the only downside with the second setup is the computer where the printer is connected must stay powered on all the time in order for the rest of the computers ion your network to print compared to the 1st setup with the a print server which is stand alone.

New samsung wi-fi phone

Your router has a WEP key enabled. Each key is different as it is set by the owner of the router when it is first being setup.

That is the key your phone is asking for.

Remote Antenna

I suggest LMR-400 cable, but generally most any coax cable will do. As far as your connectors, I suggest visiting RadioShack or The Source for these, remove your existing antenna and bring it with you to determine what N-Connectors you will need.
