You have to press Ctrl, Alt, Shift one button at a time in that order... then press 0,1,2,3,4 (0 will autoscan for active ports). Press Esc or Spacebar to exit autoscan mode. :)

try hitting the scroll lock button twice and then either 1 or 2 it should switch back and forth, it this does not work, I need the model number of the kvm

If you trying to use the USB hub through the mouse port of the KVM make sure the mouse emulation has been turned off. This can be done by tapping Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock + m + Enter. This turns the mouse emulation off and causes that port to act like a direct USB connection to the computer. Instructions for this can be found in the user manual on page 14.

It seems that the main hard drive in this server either went bad, had a windows corruption or that one of the internal connections inside this server went bad.

You would need to check on all three of these areas to make sure 1) the main hard drive is functional (which is my first suspision so check the hard drive for errors and if it fails you would need to do a data transfer to a new hard drive). 2) use your windows software to repair the dammaged registry that may have been corrupted somehow (only do this if the main server's hard drive passes its hardware tests).

You would need to run the original os but I would need to know which one you are using to guide you more to solving the regisrty issue.

3) Hopefully tis server has a warrenty and it may need replacing if all else is working.

Try #1 which is the highest supected for failed hard drive issue (remember if discovered that main hd is bad you may need to perform a data transfer immediatly and replace with a new hard drive.

feel free to pull it out carefully, or there used to be an eject button to release, or if you worry to do that, try to turn off your computer then when it completely off just pull your disk carefully..

Make sure your keyboard is plugged into the keyboard port of the KVM. The IOGear KVMs use a keyboard and mouse emulation. Due to this the keyboard port is the only port will recognize the Scroll Lock command.
