hello, one of the cams that push printhead down is broken, this can be fixed, i have used strong wire with super glue to lock in place, but its a bear to do, since timing can be thrown off. so it might be cheaper to replace. sorry.

Hi,
You may have to download that printer. Merely swapping out similar printers is not enough

Paper is stuck in printer dock. How do I get it
Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.
That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.
So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Kodak Easyshare printer Dock 3
SOLVED!!
eppelr is correct, the small white cam on the right hand side at the top (internally) cracks and this allows it to come loose on its shaft and stops it from pressing the thermal head down onto the ink film on one side. If like me you have the top of the range bluetooth model its worth buying an old basic model off ebay for a tenner and robbing the shaft out of that. The mechanics are more or less the same and the shaft itself is identical, Doubt you would be able to buy the shaft seperate from Kodak, Thanks eppelr, I now have two working plus 3's.
If anyone wants pics etc please get in touch

Prints only top half of picture
Can you print anything from WORDPAD or MSPAINT or NOTEPAD? try printing a website. if it continues to do this, then it could be a paper sensor on the printer, and that means, a failed printer.
Thinks new cartidge empty
As recommended in their online support
here, Press the print button to reset the printer. If that doesn't work, Kodak suggests you call their tech support line
here.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

In the menu, go to "Settings", then "Sounds & Alerts". Put the select bar over "Normal" (if that's the setting you use it on), pressing the "Options" button and selecting "Customize". Find "Keytone Type" and press the left or right arrow buttons to select "Off". Then select "Save". You can do the same for "Vibrate and Ring".
Load paper message
you need clean your printer properly some dust particles in paper sensor could cause its malefunctioning
The dock doesn't grab the paper. and if i help it, it just jams up
I had the same problem. Kodak support advised to take a damp lint free cloth ( I used a white handkerchief ) and wipe clean the center roller that grabs the paper. You can rotate the roller manually until you're satisfied you've cleaned it all. I just wiped it right to left several times and all was ok again. I didn't see any residue at all on the handkerchief but there must have been something that was there. Anyway, I think this'll work for you also.
Now if I could only figure out why my printer dock plus is only printing the lower part of pictures even though I installed new ink cartridge. Kodak advised to tighten slack in cartridge. There was not any noticeable slack. Still a no go.
Easy share printer dock only
You have to go to printers & faxes on your "start" button on your computer screen. And click properties on your printer. And fix the alignment size of picture printing. Or your out of ink.
Kodak printer dock cartridge is stuck inside printer dock
turn off your printer. Press and hold down the left arrow and the transfer button, turn on printer while holding them down, you should hear your printer make some noises, This will be the head lining up. Open the side door to gain access to the cartridge, push on it to see that it i s"locked" in. Lift up on the Green release button on the inside and your cartridge should come free on its own. Be careful not to try and pry it out for this can void your warranty! http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-remove-a-stuck-cartridge-on-a-kodak-g600-printer-dock-249276/view/
