The easiest way to get the cable is to type in Kodak Easyshare in googles search. You will find a link that says Shopping results for..... Click on it, a whole mess of places to by the cable for around 3 dollars will show up. Clink on anyone of them to take you to the page to get to the seller of the cable. For the price I would probably avoid any ebay auctions and go with a direct purchase from like Buy.com.

Anyway good luck and I hope this helps you out.

the answer is yes, but can you find someone to do it, also before it failed to pick up, how was it printing, hopefully well, if not, and only printed on left side of paper, then it might be time for replacement, since i do not know if anyone can repair that problem, its a little tricky to repair, parts are not sold to repair, but that can be repaired.

If you are getting "yellow streaks", run the Kodak "print-head-cleaning" software, to see if that helps.

Be sure to compare the cost of "repairing" the printer to that of buying a new printer (that would use the same ink-cartridges).

one way or the other, someone must have change some settings on the Kodak EasyShare printer unknowing to you.

Since you do not know want was pressed to have caused this, the it would be better if you reset the printer. resetting will put the printer back to its default state. This will make the printer work fine as it has been doing before.

Or uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers. That is, detach the printer cord from your computer, uninstall the Kodak EasyShare printer dock Series 3 software, restart your computer and reinstall the software back just as you did when you first installed the printer to your computer.

This will help to rectify this problem.

Good luck.

you're not completely right. Kodak printer docks normally only charge the Kodak KAA2HR battery pack. It not charges normal Ni-MH rechargeable batteries of any brands.

Thanks for using FixYa. This can be caused by a number of things:

The fuser
The toner cartridge
The firmware
The printer needs a cleaning.
The slot in the printer.
Incorrect Media.

Try cleaning the printer, use a lint-free cloth for the ETB, DO NOT touch the belt with your fingers, the oil from fingers will often make things worse. Always use a lint-free cloth, if you ever encounter dirt inside the printer, dampen the cloth.

Calibrate the printer. From the printer's control panel menu Configure Device-> Print Quality-> Calibrate now. (Press the Checkmark key to advance through menus).

To check if the issue is with fuser put a sheet of paper in the manual feeder in the front of the ITB drawer. Print a configuration page and when the back edge of the paper reaches the bottom of the feeder, open the back of the printer to stop the printing. Now open the ITB drawer and look at the unused sheet and see if the defects are present. If they are still there then it is not the fuser. If the defects are gone, then it is the fuser. You’ll need to replace it.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
