Can lexmark e210 laser printer be updated to run
Hi,
As this is an old model, we dont have the appropriate software drivers for Windows 7.
But, we can use the basic print and scan functionalities of this printer.
just install the printer using the steps provided below:
To install (add) a local printer
-
Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button , and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
-
Click Add a printer.
-
In the Add Printer wizard, click Add a local printer.
-
On the Choose a printer port page, make sure that the Use an existing port button and the recommended printer port are selected, and then click Next.
-
On the Install the printer driver page, select the printer manufacturer and model, and then click Next.
-
If your printer isn't listed, click Windows Update, and then wait while Windows checks for additional drivers.
-
If none are available and you have the installation CD, click Have Disk, and then browse to the folder where the printer driver is located. (For additional help, consult the printer manual.)
-
Complete the additional steps in the wizard, and then click Finish.
this works for sure..

Lexmark E210 on x64
Lexmark never updated the E210 driver for Windows Vista / Windows 7. Luckily, the printer is identical to the Samsung ML-1210 printer, which has better drivers that are Vista / Win 7 compatible. (The new drivers also work if the printer is connected to an XP machine, but is being shared with a Vista machine on your network.)
Go to the Samsung Support website (www.samsung.com/us/support/) and then type ML-1210 in the search box in the middle of the page. Click on the ML-1210 result, then click the "Downloads" tab, then below that, click "Drivers." Scroll down to get the correct driver for your system.
Uninstall any old drivers before installing the new drivers.
Good luck!

Printing using MacBook Pro
Take the provided USB cable that came with the printer and connect it to the macbook pro. From this point go to your system preferences in your mac. Go to the printer setting, from there it should recognize your printer and you will have a variety of options, including setting it to your default printer.
Nao consigo instalar lexmar E210
Hi and welcome to FixYa
Firstly I don't speak nor write in Portuguese but I understood it so my answer is going to be in English, apologizes for that. OK now Lexmark web site says that there are no Windows 7
drivers for that printer (seems to be an old printer). So lets install
the Windows XP driver in comparability mode. But first try unplugging the printer (is it USB?) wait a few seconds and plug
it back in to see if Windows 7 can install the drivers by itself (remember to have the windows up to date and all the windows updates options turned ON). Then if that doesn't work for you, try the compatibility mode trick.
1. Download the XP drivers ( http://download.cnet.com/Lexmark-E210/3000-2116_4-146099.html )
2. Place the driver installation file on the Desktop.
3. Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select the appropriate options in from the list (in your case choose windows 7 64 bits).
4. Click Apply/OK.
5. Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.
That should work if the first option I gave you don't do the trick.
Hope this information was helpful
Sincerely,
aDynamite.
