How do i print a test page on a lexmark z23 printer on without using a computer to test if the printer itself is working or not?

Printer cant take the whole paper

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

My lexmark z23 printer keeps

You may need to clean the nozzles on your cartridges. Please follow the instructions in this article in the Lexmark website on How to Unblock (Clean) the Cartridge Nozzles in the Lexmark Z13/Z23/Z33 Color Jetprinter.If problem continues, try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if your other cartridge is faulty. There should be labels indicating which is which when you open up your printer.

Go down the page untill you see a box with an icon of the earth with a green arrow and "Download Lexmark Z23 Driver:" written above it

Click on the icon and your driver will download. Further down the page it makes reference to the driver should be OK for Vista.

Good day!Is your new driver compatible with your Lexmark printer?and is your cartridge had no defect?..try to calibrate the cartridge..look to the manual of the printer..

Paper won't feed. need button press for each sheet

Make sure you inserting the paper not deep inside just insert and stop it when you feel any resistance .and try to print something. If it is print then well otherwise you have to show it service center.

Did you check the Microsoft Compatability List (search that title) to see if your Lexmark is supported by the new OS on your new Compaq?

Please check the list. If yo dont find your printer listed, you will have to ask Lexmark for a driver that will work with your new computer. E-mail them if you cant find it at www.lexmark.com/support. If you dont have any luck, you might find a 3rd party driver, but you will probably have to pay for it. You could reconnect your Lexmark to your old printer and add it to your netrwork and print that way. Finally, if none of this works out, you may have to purchase a new printer certified to run on your new OS.

BTW, this is a very common thing with old printers and new computers. That is why Microsoft built the Compatability Listing.

Try to google it , or go to your manufacturer's website and ask for a driver there. You can select there whether what OS you are using.

I can not find a source of power or how to plug it

Hello,

Your printer connects with a small power supply that plugs into the back of the printer. Than a power cord runs from that module to the wall plug.

Need drivers for lexmark z23 to install on vista

They don't make a Vista driver as it is an old printer but the XP driver might work, just ignore any messages saying it might be incompatible and install the diver, if it doesn't work, uninstall the driver and buy a new printer.
