Dell a425 disassembly

I found this URL for you that shows a Dell forum where you could probably get all the info you need. It also has specifications for all the internals should you need to replace something. Good luck and be safe. I learned to hate capacitors a long time ago. :-) http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=DSN_E876EF53BCA3F058E030030ABD6260B2&isLegacy=true

I have Dell speakers, hp tower, I can't get sound out of speakers. Do I plug both the usb plug & speaker plug into tower?

If there is no separate power supply the usb plug must be used in order to provide power for the speakers, but whether the analogue cable must be plugged in or not will depend on the internal construction and specification of the speakers. I suggest you initially use the usb and if there is no sound and no on-screen instructions, plug in the analogue line. If there is a separate power supply the speakers are probably and either/or design.

what is 'dragging'? most likely dirty contact on the plug from computer to the speakers.

My applications last only as long as I leave my computer on. How can I make them stick?

Is there a battery back up somewhere on your computer? It could have failed. Or at least something connected with it. It could be an electronic fault. Bad capacitors etc. I assume they have ruled out a virus?

Get a wired lapel microphone and plug it into the microphone input on your Dell. The onboard mic is designed to record all ambient sounds. You want a different product to get the result you're looking for.

Setup Altec Lansing BX1220 speakers usb-powered...green 3.5 in back with usb next to it. I have a windows 10 free upgrade on a rebuild Dell Optiplex 755 vista desktop.

Forget the upgrade to windows 10, Dell doesn't recommend you do this as it disables some programs. I have the same computer.

How do I find driver for my speakers. Disc not available. They stopped working after MS update.

My daughter had the same trouble with her Dell computer. The guy who was reloading Windows found the additional drivers on the Dell website. The Dell recovery disc supplied with a new machine already contain those drivers.

How can I fix the sound on my Windows 7 computer

Try plugging a pair of headphones or earbuds or a different pair of known-working speakers (in places of the current speakers) - if you get sound with the "replacements", then there's a problem with the "current" speakers; otherwise, the problem is the sound on the unit. Alternatively, plug the "current" speakers into a different (preferably, known-working) unit. If there's still no sound, then there's a problem with the speakers; otherwise, the problem is the sound on the original unit.

I have any Silex 824 Dell computer 2.1 subwoofer system the wires or cut how can I repair them properly

Joseph Nucifora, Unfortunately, Dell does not have any wiring diagrams for speakers or sub-woofers. They would replace them if they are broken and are under warranty. Thank You, Dell-Jesse L Dell Social Media and Communities
