Maybe the scan software is not installed yet. The Lexmark scan software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the printer. It's not available for download online since it's a big file. If you don't have the cd or you lost it, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance.

i have a x3450 printer i can't get faxman.comm off my computer. i can't use it please tell me how to remove.it is causing me a promblem.

The "table-of-contents" on the pen-drive has been "scrambled" -- Windows cannot find the expected "file-system" on it.

Open My Computer.
Right-mouse click on the icon for the H: drive.
Click FORMAT
Put a check-mark beside "quick format", and then click OK,
to build a new file-system on the device.

you can disable the monitor from the startup folder.
Msconfig (in the run box on xp or search box on vista/7) startup, and remove the printer monitor.
OR use a program like CC Cleaner ( Tools/startup)

The rollers may be worn out.

Switch off the printer - settings - printers and faxes - double click the printer icon concerned. Select and delete the pending printings

You can check if it's available in some electronic shops around your area. But if you like, you can also contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance. You can request for that and they can send you one for free. Just have the printer information ready (like the serial number behind the printer) for supporting documents. Hope this helps.

There are Lexmark Z2420 printer drivers for Windows Vista available for download in the Lexmark website. First, check your Windows Vista if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

You can only try this it may workError 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Are you using the wireless network printer function or is the printer connected by a USB cable? If you are using the wireless network, launch the printer's Wireless Setup Utility and run through it. (Check for problems with IP, signal strength etc.)

For USB, try resetting the printer (unplug it from the wall for 10 seconds). Check that the computer is looking for the printer on the correct port. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double click on the Printers folder and right click on your Lexmark printer. Choose Properties then click on the Ports tab. Check that one of the USB port options is checked. (If you have a newer OS, Start > Devices and Printers and then right click on the printer.) Also try a new USB cable and a different USB port. If you have a print server or USB hub, try a direct connection.
