You need a program that you can use on your PC with this program you scan it to your PC and then print it out, ok you need a program like art or photo or paint or some thing like this that have a scan in it.

The best program to put on your Pc is what I use and it is Free you, it is called PagePluse SE, you should try it you can do all sort of things with it but there no scan on it, just scan your photos to the your pc with another program witch has scan on it and put them in the SE program and you can do any size you wont and after adding text to it or backgrounds you can send it to the printer and print, an other program I use for scanning from the printer to the PC is called PainShop Pro 7 witch is a old program there newer ones out now but I am happy just using the old one it does the trick.

The Free version is Called PagePluse SE you not need the version 9.

Hi You can Try 2 things.

There is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there


Next try.

It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Probably, but the latest driver for your model is best downloaded from Lexmark support. Lexmark admits the lastest driver is probably not on the CD anyway!

Be sure to download the correct file(s) for your operating system.

go to hp.com adn download any prtiner software that has ocr in it. like download full feature software adn drivers for officejet 6500 wireless. then run custome install and on installation screen where it says select this option to customize click on that and in list of softawere select ocr then when it ask u to connect usb click on option that says if you are not able to conect ur device now click here. then complete installation

I would suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support either by phone or website.

This may not be something that Lexmark uses an authorized technician to do.

But you may still be able to purchase the part and go from there.

you may want to get somthing like b12 chemtool and clean the glass. this glass will get a build up that resemble scatches on them. try scrapping the scratches with a fingerrnail to see if its build up or real scratches you might be surprised. paper does not scratch glass

NO!!! and I have the same problem. I do not disagree with the chip expiration theory as you could use a refill ink needle. They can over look this by chipping them. Since there is no answer and we all have the same problem at the same time it must be true. Do not buy DELL anymore . try to ween away if you can. They need to be sent a message to stop doing stuff liek this. I have a problem with my dell all-in-one printer too. It wont install teh whole program anymore just the driver so I cant use the features. I pray DELL goes bankrupt!!

start - program- lixmark scaner- click on it-the diloge window for scaner apper choice the dip as300 or more put 300 is good then choice the jpg for hoto to be very easy when you have save the photo make prevew for the picture the scaner will make scanning for the picture in the glass then will apper on you moniter computer select the part you want scanning by mouse then click scan when finish save it .make sure you instull the scaner in your computer good.

1. Press Power to turn your All-In-One off.
2. Unplug your All-In-One from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in your All-In-One.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.

If this does not resolve the problem, replace your cartridges to fix the problem.

Error 1203 is a cartridge error, please contact the store where you bought it or Lexmark costumer support so they can replace the cartridge.

when you unplug this remove the power supply completly then give it a minute then reinstall power the unit on. if this doesnt do it us the belt to move the scanner carriage to the middle then power the unit on see if this fixes it. if not you may need to remove the top and clean the scanner mirrors. there is a carriage home strip on the underside of the top that reflects the light back to a photo cell to say the carriage is home. anything that dimms this light will cause it not to see home.
