In this case what i would Request u to do is......... Goto Control Panel goto Printers folder......... There u will see the Lexmark Printer Icon........... Just right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......... Now click on Advanced and goto Print Processor......... Change it to Lexmark NTEMF 1.0008........ Click on Apply click Ok now try to Print.......... Prints Fine............Issue Resolved........ Same Problem........ Download the Lexmark ToolBar from: http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,204816596_1255995709_0_en,00.html Restart your computer once and now try to print using the Lexmark Tool Bar.......... I have a driver for that but you can also download the driver at www.lexmark.com then click drivers & download then clik drivers finder at the search bar type your printer model no.x1185 then choice the driver according to your OS system

Step 1). Try cleaning the gold contacts on the print cartridge and on the printer itself with a pen eraser and a little alcohol.

Step 2). Uninstall the printer software and reinstall it.

Step 3). If the above two steps fail try a new cartridge. If none of these solutions work there is an electronic problem with the printer and it will have to be professionally diagnosed or replaced.

Be sure the printer is powered on as it needs power to move the cartridges - this is a common mistake.

Does it power on? How is it connected to your computer? Did you install the drivers for it?
