Had the same issue today - you've probably solved by now yourself but adding images for others. Bit fiddly, but got there in the end. Getting the orientation of the housing and the spin click spring is a bit awkward.10_18_2011_10_51_07_am.jpg10_18_2011_10_51_27_am.jpg10_18_2011_10_51_46_am.jpg

Mouse jumps around doesn't stay on stop you want

Try getting the software called Mouse Doctor, or a software similar to this. And it will diagnose to see if there is any calibration error in the mouse, if there is, it will either fix it or recommend what to do to fix the problem. Hope this helps.
Good luck. Message me if you have any other questions.

Mouse works on one laptop but not the other.

You need to install the logitech mouse drivers for your particular mouse on the laptop that it doesn't work on.

All the best

Mouse pointer isn't moving .

There can be a varity of problems here. 1) insure the driver installed is correct for the mouse. 2) is the mouse plugged into a USB port and not a Firewire port (they look the same). 3) are you in the correct PS2 port for the MOUSE (assuming you are using an adapter for a mouse).

How do I get it off of magnify?

Normal 0

Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons. In the Left column is the button settings. The bottom one is the Right Button, which is set for Magnify. Whenever you hit the Right Side button the magnifier will turn on. To turn it off, hit the Right Side Button and off it goes. You can change any of the button settings by clicking on the drop down.
