My cordless lazer mouse just quit working. my mac

Sounds like you might have to reload the drivers ? you can check by going to the web site of the manufacture of the brand of mouse and setup and look under support or down loads , you might have to look for the make and model numbers of the device and enter them in so that you get the right drivers .

Lost one of the stick on pads off the bottom of mouse

A quick run through google found me This. http://www.jab-tech.com/SlickSurf-Replacement-Mouse-Feet-1-4-pr-2865.html Not the ones I used to buy(specialized low-friction pads, I believe Thinkgeek used to carry them), but good in a pinch for replacements.

Laser Mouse MX 1000 By logitech

The following is what I ended up doingbf9ae52.jpg

Pretty much I cannibalized a pack of battery charging adapter plates, soldered the three wires to them, trimmed & bent them a little.. and then epoxied them down to the battery hold-down in their appropriate places. A little trimming was done on the plastic so the contacts could reach in far enough without obstruction.
06c09fc.jpg
After having the mouse sit around useless without a working battery in it.. for months, which definitely irritated me... I looked up 3.7V li-ion batteries and came across the "klic-5001 battery" (google it) and ordered two. The first one I destroyed trying to solder the wires directly to the battery contacts.. which just ruined all the internal li-ion battery components(i.e. DO NOT TRY DOING THAT)... the second battery, which I never tampered with whatsoever, is connected to the mouse via the contacts I described above. The klic-5001 batteries by the way do fit very well in the hold-down meant for the original battery.

End result: one, exceptionally well working MX1000 mouse which I can replace the rechargeable battery inside anytime it begins to get to aged and not working so well... ^_^ It charges as normal and the battery monitoring works like nothing ever changed.

I received a Performance MX mouse as a gift

I'd suggest downloading the most recent software and drivers for the Performance MX mouse to see if that makes a difference. You can get that software directly from their site at this link: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/428/783?section=downloads.

They also have a fairly good FAQs and troubleshooting section for their products. Your devices page should be this link: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads/downloads/mice/devices/783.

If neither of those help you'll have to contact Logitech directly regarding your warranty question. You can either email them or call them, and their contact info is listed on their website: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads.

Using 32bit drivers on 64bit Win7 will do this. It'll work for hours, and then quit responding with a "code 10" in the device manager. When you download setpoint/drivers, look closely, they have 32 and 64bit versions.

I tryied 2 different computers (both with XP) and the mouse is recognized but not working. I tryied to look into the laser lens but no red light there.... I also tryied to put it into charghing the Red Status Lid for 1 second and after it goes all green.

Right button doesn't work; single click with left button

You can probably repair this yourself if you are technically inclined and careful.

There is a tutorial here showing how to disassemble the mouse: http://www.vk2k.com/Logitech-MX1000-Battery/

The microswitches for the buttons can be opened if you are very careful, and then you'll have to clean the contacts. Regular rubbing alcohol should work fine. Be careful not to lose any parts when opening the switch.

If the switch contacts have corroded, you may have to replace the contacts or the entire switch. You may be able to take a similar switch from another mouse (many manufacturers use similar switches). SWometimes there are MX1000 or similar logitech nonfunctioning mice being sold on eBay for parts.

Good luck

The same thing happened to me today. Somehow, something uninstalled my setpoint mouse software?!?!
While I was actually using the mouse?!?!
(it just stopped moving all of a sudden)

Don't ask me how/why this happened but I fixed it by unplugging the MX1000--both power and usb connection, plugging in an old serial mouse, rebooting the computer, opening mouse properties, going to the Mouse settings (in Control Panel), clicking the Setpoint tab, telling it to look for an update to the Setpoint program, letting it download and install the program automatically, then unplugging the old serial mouse, plugging in the MX1000 (usb first, them Power) and Voila'! Working as it should once again, even without a reboot. :o)
I love this mouse--perfect size, fast, programmable, accurate, long battery life, Perfect!

Docking station for MX1000 Laser mouse not working

That docking station has a lithium-ion battery in it that supposedly never needs replacing. I'm wondering if the battery did go out on it and needs to be replaced. If there is now way to get inside of the docking station then you will need to get another mouse, cause you can't just get the docking station.
