For my Integra DTR 40.1 receiver, how do I activate zone2 using the same input as the main input ?

How do I get into the network and firmware menu?

Try the following

Via Net
Is it reasonable to assume your router requires password / ssid to secure internet access ?
Due to age of this device,
(1) Lower / disable current router security settings
OR
(2) connect device directly to modem. ( softest, easiest way )
This may require you to disconnect modem from router, reset your modem then connect cable direct between modem and DTR 40.1 device.
When completed, the Modem ( and Router ) may need be reset, prior to re-connecting network

Step 3:
Go to "7-6. Firmware Update" menu.
Note that the Firmware Update option will be grayed out
for 30 seconds after AV receiver/controller is turned on.

My integra av receiver model no DTR-70.1 amplifier displays but no sound what could be the problem?

Perform a master reset. To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode.

My Integra DTM-5.3 receiver is showing "Protect". I have 4 speakers and 2 just purchased. Except for taking the cover off and checking inside the receiver I have done everything I can think of.

You have a short somewhere in the speaker wiring.
