2 speakers no sound
1. Check that your computer has not "muted" the sound.
2. Check that the audio-cable from the speakers is connected to the "line-out" (green) connector on your computer.
3. Check that the speakers are getting power.
4. Try connecting the speakers to the audio output from an iPod.
They may be "quiet", but, at 100%, you should hear something.
5. Start -> Control Panel -> Classic View -> System -> Hardware
to see that the correct software "drivers" for your sound-card are installed.
6. Check that your music-player (Windows Media Player, iTunes, WinAmp, et cetera) is not "muted" or at less than 5% volume.

check properly that the system sound is properly configured and check that the all the speakers are working or not then see that the setting is 5.1 audio channel then also check the volume controller level in the amplifier. if all these settings doesnt work then download srs soundbox from
www.google.com and install it and configure it properly to get a loud sound.
I hear crackling from the speakers, but no sound.
crackling from speakers does not mean that they are working correctly as you have discovered. It does point to a
bad connection somewhere between them and the computer.
As for your drivers they should be on the
cds that came with the computer.
If you can no longer find them then you need to look as any stickers / labels that are on your computer to get the model.
Using that information you should start

No sound please help inspiron lap top not
Did you ever have sound. If you did, depending on the version of windows use the system restore feature. Windows XP can go back months, while Vista can only about a month when you show restore points older than 5 days. Just search for the system restore feature for your operating system. Use the help menu to locate the program (In vista it will be named differently but the help menu will show you where it is).

I have dell speakers hooked up to my dell pc but NO sound.
- Ensure the connection first if the connectors are hooked up to the correct port.
- check if the speaker is receiving the power there should be an indicator lit up
- If you have an integrated sound card make sure they are not disabled in BIOS.
- Then check if the sound drivers are properly installed.
- check the volume control to ensure if mute is checked(uncheck it) also ensure the volume level it needs to be set to a level so that it's audible to you.
- Do check the speakers with another devioce to ensure the speakers are fine and working.
- FOR MORE SPECIFIC INFO PLEASE PROVIDE THE MODEL AND BRAND DETAILS OF THE PC AND SPEAKER AND OS
CAN'T GET ANY SOUND FROM THE DESKTOP SPEAKERS
Is the sound coming from other output devices. Have you checked with any headphones?
Please post the question in more detail. If the system audio is entirely failed, the first thing you have to check is that, have you muted the sound accidentally? Or may be your sound drivers are disabled or corrupted.Go to the device manager and check if the drivers are fine.
No sound with anything
Head over to support.dell.com
Click on product support. Either enter your service tag, or your model number and it will take you to some basic information on your PC.
Click on drivers and downloads, locate your audio driver, download and install.
If that doesn't fix it, try the speakers on another computer to ensure they're working properly. Also, if possible try a set of known good speakers and see if that works on the computer. This will help you figure out which piece of the puzzle isn't working.
