From what I can tell you are using Mozilla Firefox Try using Internet Explorer if ip address id not valid it will tell you Internet Explorer cannot display webpage In order to renew ip address these are the steps you will want to take:
1. Ensure the equipment is connected correctly(Ethernet cord from modem to Internet port on router
2.Open network connections Win XP:Start/Run/Type ncpa.cpl
Vista/Win 7 Start/search bar/type ncpa.cpl
3.This will bring you to your network connections window
4.If using XP: Double click on wireless connection and hit the support tab. Ensure it is assigned by DHCP and the ip address should start with 192.
5. If Vista Or Windows 7 Right click on wireless conenction and hit properties. Uncheck version Internet Protocol Version 6
6. Click and Highlight internet protocol Version 4 and hit properties
7. ensure that it shows obtain ip address and obtain a dns server automatically
8.After go to Command Prompt (Win XP) Start/Run/Type CMD
Windows7/Vista:Start Start/All Programs/Accessories/Right click on command prompt and hit run as administrator then hit continue type in these commands.
1.netsh int ip reset reset.log

1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox).
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop/ gaming module about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router and the gaming site for the proper ports for play.
You may just have lost connectivity with the server. Check your QOS ( Quality of Service ) in the rotuer settings to assure your wireless connectivity. Wireless gaming console are notorious for dropping connection. You also need to improve your antenna range. There are some DIY antenna templates on line if you do a Google search you will find a lot of them that will give you 20/30% gain.
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

I forgot my password.
Take one Norwegian paper-clip, and straighten one end.
Turn the router off.
Insert the end of the paper-clip into the small hole in the back of the router, and hold it pressed-down for a few seconds.
This will reset the router to its "factory" settings,
including the default password.
Turn the router on, and configure it.

How do i set up
1. Step 1 Position your Belkin wireless G router.
Place your wireless G router in a wide open and central location. Don't connectthe power plug into the router, yet. Make sure your computer is turned off.
2. Step 2 Connect all the devices.
Find the Ethernet cable that connects your PC to the modem. Unplug the Ethernetcable from your PC and insert it into the wireless G router's WAN port. Youshould have an additional Ethernet cable that came with your router. Take thiscable and plug one end into one of the LAN ports on the router. Then connectthe other end to your PC's Ethernet port.
3. Step 3 Turn on your modem, router, and PC.
Plug the power plug adapter into the modem. Turn on the modem. It'll takeapproximately 30 seconds for the modem to boot up. Connect the power plugadapter to the router and the other end into a power strip or outlet. Like themodem, it'll take about 30 seconds for the router to boot. Turn on your PC.
4. Step 4 Verify lights are on for your devices.
Make sure the following lights are on for your router: power, WAN, and LANlight. If you don't see any of them lit, confirm these devices are turned on.Make sure the Ethernet cable connections are installed correctly.
5. Step 5 Install and configure software.
Use the setup wizard application to configure your Belkin wireless G router.Set up features, such as creating your password and setting up your time zone.Continue to follow the setup wizard so you can configure ?other settings.

Hello,

Hey Chris
This kinds of issues are coming from the firmware of your router. So what you need to do is to upgrade the firmware of your router and make sure that you use a wired computer to do that. After the upgrade make sure that you reset the valet for about 1 minute. Just reconfigure the router so that it will be in sync with the modem. Usually with brighthouse, it will just go online right away.

You will need to reconfigure the router.
Once you reset the router, it will come back to the factory default settings. Now you can reinstall the router.
You can do it manually without the CD also.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.

Can not connect to internet on my laptop with
The Setup CD does
not automatically start.
- If Belkin Setup
does not run when you insert the CD-ROM, your computer may not be configured to
open CDs automatically.
- If Belkin Setup
does not appear within 15 seconds, browse to your CD-ROM drive and open the
"Belkin Setup" icon.
- Alternatively, you
may visit HYPERLINK "http://router/"
or "192.168.2.1" and perform the
setup manually.
Belkin Setup cannot
find my Router.
If Belkin Setup is not able to communicate with your router
during the installation process, please check the following items.
- Make sure that the
wireless hardware on your computer is turned on, if available.
- Try connecting your
computer to one of the four "wired" ports on the Router with an Ethernet
cable.
- Ensure that the
Router is on. The front panel LED should be lit.
- Unplug the Router's
power supply for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. There may be firewall
software on your computer preventing an outgoing connection. You may choose to
temporarily disable this software before attempting setup.
once you login to router page by 192.168.2.1under wireless click channel & ssid ->change a diffent name in ssidunder wireless click- >security ->use 64 bit wep and disablw wifi protected set uo would work fine

I just purchased a Belkin Router and two nights
You still have a connection with a desktop at home, right? If not you'll need to do the following with your laptop connected by ethernet.
I can give you advice based on my experience,I think it's similar.
Where I live the power goes out a lot in the Summer due to weather. If it's out for very long, the router defaults to factory settings.
Since you just bought your router you still have the default info for setup on Belkin's sight. You need to go back there and set up your internet and network settings again.Right now your router isn't aware that you have a network. You can use the same SSID and security settings and key,you just have to tell the router at Belkin setup. The url to type into your browser is:
http://192.168.2.1
If this helps, would you rate my post please?
Thanks
Bob
