Is this lens compatible with a Canon Rebel XS digital camera

Sigma makes lenses with a variety of mounts to fit a variety of cameras. If the lens has a Canon mount then it will work with your XS. If has some other mount, Nikon for example, then it will not.

Why does my lens only zoom to 200

Could be, because most camera's only can auto focus till f/1:5.6. And if 5.6 is reached at the focal length of 200 mm, the camera stops it from going to a part it can't be focused. Perhaps you try the lens in manual focus, and manual zoom.

Sigma 170-500mm f.5-5.6. fit on nikon d 200 ???

Sigma makes their lenses with a variety of mounts for a variety of cameras. A lens with a Canon mount, for example, will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount, it is fully compatible with the D200.

If you mean the 150-500mm, you can see a review at
http://www.popphoto.com/gear/2008/12/sigma-150-500mm-f5-63-dg-os-hsm-apo-af

In general, Sigma supertelephoto zooms have a pretty good reputation. However, only YOU can decide whether a particular lens is "good enough" for you.

I am putting the sigma

Turn the aperture ring to its smallest opening (largest f/number). You can control the aperture from the camera body, the same way you do so on a lens without an aperture ring.

I have a sigma 170x500 that is getting stiff how

The rubber grip that surrounds the barrel comes off which is very hard to remove without stretching it out of shape. Once off the screws can be removed to add a few drops of solvent to loosen the stiffness

Autofocus not working

If you don't know how to fix it yourself send it to Sigma UK (01707 329999). They are quite resonable charges for that sort of fault. Their website give a price guide depending on lens and fault. Steve

Turn on the canon 20d and comes up with err0 99

There is a website devoted to Err99: http://www.richardsnotes.org/archives/2005/04/29/50mm-lens-contact-points/

I have a Quantaray 100-300 which also displays an Err99 when used in automatic mode. The only way I can use this lens is in AV mode and select the widest aperture.

Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX while on Autofocus mode the focus ring moves slightly when half-pressing. Is this normal? is there anyway to fix this?

It is not normal for the focus ring to move slightly when using autofocus mode on the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX lens. This could be caused by a problem with the lens or with the camera body. One thing you can try is to check if the lens mount on the camera is clean and free from debris, as this can cause the lens to move when the camera's autofocus system is trying to adjust the focus. You should also check if your lens firmware is updated to the latest version and make sure your camera firmware is also up to date.

Hello All, I need instructions on how to dissasemble the Sigma 300-800mm f5.6 APO EX DG HSM lens to clean an inner element. Does anyone have a service manual/exploded views/parts diagram please?

You can't do this yourself. It needs to be carried out by professionals and is a 'clean room' with service techs in full dust proof protective wear. Send it to them. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/support/ ..

What adapter do I need for a Sigma AF 75-300 lens on a Canon Rebel XTi SLR?

Question edited for clarity. You get the Sigma lens for the camera in Canon fit. https://www.google.com/search?q=sigma+lens+af+75-300+for+canon+rebel+xti Can you use Sigma lenses on Canon cameras? Since Sigma lenses are made to be fully compatible with Canon cameras, they are backwards-compatible. This means that you can use a Sigma lens on a Canon DSLR camera. Similarly, the Sigma cameras are backwards-compatible with Canon lenses. Macro adapter loses the AF feature. https://www.google.com/search?q=sigma+lens+af+75-300+mount+adapter+ring+for+canon+rebel+xti

Where can I find out how to take apart a Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens?

Taking it apart is not the problem - re-assembling it will be. Unless you have access to an optical laboratory, where laser instruments can measure the exact tolerances required, don't even think about it. You will be left with a pile of optical components, and a far higher repair bill than if you had just let the experts sort out the problem in the first place.

Why does my sigma tiffen lens work on my rebel T5i & not on my rebel T2i camera says no connection to lens

Tiffen is a brand of filters not a lens. if your sigma lens will work on 1 camera and not on the other then check the lens mount, electronic contacts, clean them if needed. check the settings in the camera if there needs to be a change.

I have a 170-500 Sigma zoom lens and I need a scheme to understand how to mount it. It was disassembled by an unqualified technician and now he failed to mount it. Thanks.

Take it to a Qualified technician and get it fixed properly. I have this same lens for my Pentax K3, its a very good lens and worth getting it fixed by a proper tech who knows what they are doing.
