It's in protection mode. Disconnect all speakers and hold the Tone and Straight buttons while hitting the power button. Hold all buttons down for 3 to 5 seconds. This will turn off protection mode. Now power down then back on. If you haven't damaged anything it should work fine. Make sure all speaker connections are good. Always power down the unit before making any speaker or other connections.

It is most likely locked in protect mode. Try resetting by holding the TONE CONTROL and INFO buttons and pressing power. Watch the front panel display when you do this, and it will tell you what protect was tripped.

If your Yamaha output has the same impedance as the speaker, yes, you can. Attention - if the Yamaha amplifier has more available output power than the maximum allowed speaker power, the speaker may be damaged at a higher volume!
