you will have to replace the whole motor as these motors where never made to be serviceable. if you take the motor to a local vacuum shop than can order you a new one. though i would recomend replacing the whole tank unit with a Nutone or Hayden they are far better systems.

You have the vacuum unit and most people have a motorized power nozzle. If one or both of these is not running properly you can likely take them to a local Vac shop that sells, installs and services central vacuum systems. Some will come to your home. In what city and state are you located?

The problem is one of two things...either the hose part is bad or the wiring to the unit is bad....all that needs to happen to make the unit come on is to short between (connect) the two wires going to the unit. Therefore if the hose part is not connecting the two wires, or if the wires are broken somewhere going to the unit it will not turn on with the hose. I would take apart one of the wall outlets and jumper the wires to make sure that the wiring to the unit is good. If that does not work, then start checking for a break in the wiring to the unit. My feeling is that the hose part is probably bad and it is not making the connection in there properly and therefore not turning on the unit.

If the fuse blew up right the way it means that the short that caused the first fuse to fry is still there ..
Check the wires that supply the power and look for contacts or not coated wires in touch with the motor's case ..or such ...If all seam to be ok ..it means that the short is inside and you need a replacement for your motor..
Unfortunately we do not sell parts on this site ..and you should look for a replacement on the support site of the manufacturer..(keep in mind that sometimes the part and the handwork will not worth and will be in advantage a new one ..Just do the math first before getting one ..

Alot depends on the type of hose. There are plastic hoses and rubber hoses. Generally you can use a smaller plastic connector to connect two rubber hoses together and visa versa, Make sure it is a snug fix. You could also use an adhesive to keep it together.

How to open it to see if the fuse is blown. I removed the three screws I saw. I feel that there is another which prevents me from opening it in two. I looked under the tights, I removed the plate where the two buttons are located. I can't open it.

try cleaning the filters if they are blocked then suction is lost and would appear like bag was full. hope this helps
