Need to reset.

I believe that means file system error. I am pretty sure it uses FAT32 formatting, so you may be able to reformat it. I was unable to find a manual though. Anywho, to reformat try this. Make sure it is not the C: drive or Disk 0 you are selecting. Go by the disk size and the mp3 device will be less than 2 GB.

Jensen MP3 - 2GB Memory with Blue Display - SMP -

If you try the memory on other systems and get the same message then you should consider the memory itself to be defective.

Sorry.

I have just purchased a Jensen Digital Audio

Hello,

There's a manual for the SMP-xGBL model going to next link:
http://www.spectraintl.com/jn/pdf/SMP-2GBL%20English%20UM%20(ALI,%20no%20DRM,USA).pdf

Adobe Reader is needed to read this manual in pdf format.
Enlarge the view to about 200% or choose fill to width of screen in the top bar of Adobe Reader to enlarge fonts and pics. ( zoom - function )

For a large print of the pdf file choose

above the top bar of Adobe Reader:
File > Print...

in the print overview under Page Handling:
Page Scaling [ Tile all pages ]
Tile Scale [ 200 % ]

Hope this was enough information to get a readable manual.
When needing more help, just post a comment.

How do you put songs on it?

Well once you put the songs from your cd onto your computer place them in a folder in my documents and name it music. Plug in your mp3 player and go into your my computer folder and open your mp3 player as a folder. Or if you have autoplay on when it loads itself and pops up on the screen click where it says open items as a folder. Once you have it open into a folder just go into your my documents and slide the music folder over into the mp3 folder. That should work because thats how I do mine I dont like using the disc way because the disc is way to confusing.

When i load new songs on my mp3 player it eraces

My advice has to be generic as I am not sure which model you are using, or which software you are using. The heading for your post says "Generic problem for Jensen MP3" but then it shows me a picture of what looks like an ipod of some sort.

In my experience, the best way to manage your player's songs, is to avoid using any software to load it, ESPECIALLY iTunes. If you have an ipod after all, then unfortunately you are a bit stuck with iTunes. If this is the case, turn on manual sync and it will stop nuking your playlists.

Other than Apple's mp3 products, every other mp3 player around will act like a thumbdrive or memory card when you plug it into your computer: that is, it will show up in window's explorer or Mac's finder as a removable storage device. In this way you can use explorer or finder to simply copy the folders with your music onto your mp3 device.

The simplest, most effective way is to manually manage your music, then you won't have to worry about software nuking your mobile library for you every time you sync.

I hope that helps.

How do i put video in my Jensen SMPV-2GBUB unit?

Some MP3 players can only play certain types of video files. The type of video files that you are putting on your player may not be readable by the player. The specs show the player can read MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE. Check the file type of the movie you are putting on it and see if it is any of these types...if not then that is the problem. Here is a link to the download page and it looks like there is software for your player.

I have a sub woffer JHT525 that bega humming. I

Disconnect everything, and turn it on. If it hums, it needs repair. Then try hooking up one cable at a time. If a connection hums, try another cable. If it hums no matter where you plug it in, try a 2-prong power plug adapter, or a ground-lift plug, as it's called. If nothing works, it may need a repair in its power supply. It would still turn on, but buzz no matter what you connect.

How do i download music into my jensen smpv-2gbub,

Hello,

Downloading music for the SMPV-2GBUB is explained in the manual on
page 11 (=10) and 12 (=11) of this file:
http://www.spectraintl.com/jn/pdf/SMPV-2GBUB%20English%20UM.pdf

1. Use a powered USB connection directly to the computer (not through a hub) .
2. Avoid data loss, after media transfer. Safely remove hardware in the lower right corner:
