Hi Harryward_26, my name is Cheri Torres and I work on the Social Media Team at DISH. In order to comply with movie industry standards, DISH network, as well as all TV
providers, must enforce content protection standards when required. This message
indicates that your TV or connection is not High bandwidth Digital Copy Protection (HDCP) capable. It is likely your TV
was manufactured before industry standards required HDCP. In order to resolve this issue you would need to replace your HDMI cable with component cables (red, green and blue). Once you do this you will be able to view the content. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email me direct at [email protected]. Thanks!
Remove the cover on the back of the tv. Look for swollen or leaking capacitors. They kinda look like batteries. If they are bulging or leaking then that is your problem. You will have to de-solder the old ones off. Then solder the new capacitors onto the circuit board. Capacitors will cost about 20 dollars and installing them isn't that hard to do. It will fix your tv 99% of the time. So it is worth a try!
In order to pair your RMT-D197A remote to your Philips TV, follow these steps: 1. Power on the TV with the remote. 2. Press and hold the Setup button on the remote until the red LED light blinks twice. 3. Input the four-digit code that corresponds to your brand of TV on the remote. This should be found on the enclosed code list. 4. Release the Setup button. If the code is correct, the red LED light will blink twice. 5. Aim the remote at the TV and press the Volume Up button. If the TV responds, the remote is paired correctly.
