It sounds like this unit died while being used, and this can be a bad battery, oxidized contacts, low battery, or some other internal power problem with the camera.

There is a chance that some electronic part just "died", but try to ensure that the battery terminals, both on the battery, and inside the camcorder, are clean (use a qtip and alcohol), and make sure the battery charges (is good). Other possible problems could be a broken on/off switch or oxidized contacts. Sometimes you can spray switches with electrical contact cleaner, and get them to work again.
If you get it repaired, get an estimate first, since it can be a bit pricey, and sometimes not worth it.

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

Well first of all make sure that the camera leans is clear and there is no scratches on the leans. What kind of lines are appeared on your TV or computer when you watch the videos means it's on the same place of all the videos?

Unless you have an HD (High Definition) camcorder, the resolution of the video (or pictures) taken may be too low for it to show well on a (large) TV screen. Hence, you'll see the videos/pictures as blurred/fuzzy

Depending on the year of the camcorder, there are several ways you may or may nit be able to utilize. The FIREWIRE connecting point is becoming more and more obsolete, so your machine might not have it. This is the connecting point for many older style camcorders. Newer style camcorders connect with a USB cable.

you need to shock your 2 battery first. advise is 6V. if you want to buy need to visit at samsung authorized service center... or you may call samsung manila toll free.

Thanks for clarifying the model. According to the user manual, there is no facility for "sound in" on your camcorder. ALL SOUND recorded is via the stereo microphone at the front of the camera.

The AV socket is for a feed out only.

However, there are a couple of things you can do to improve your sound.....

You have the option (via menu setting) to reduce the "wind cut" (extraneous noise of the wind blowing across the
microphone).

You also have the option to "voice over" (they call it "voice plus") whilst dubbing to another recording device, but this doesn't overwrite or alter the original recording. For full details of how to do this, see the user manual page 89. (If yours is not to hand, its freely downloadable from many sites, including Retrevo).

i suppose that your camcorder has a dirt on the tape head actually i experienced that aswell and i just buy a new tape to rewind while playing the tape so that the dirt from the tape head will dissappear. by the way im not giving you this advice. i suggest that you buy a tape head cleaner or camcorder tape head cleaner. im just sharing you my experience about my camcorder. if the problem still persist then send it on some samsung customer center or a camcorder technician.

Looks like the dew sensor has kicked in. Power off the camcorder, remove the battery and leave it like that in a dry place for about 2-3 hours. Once the due on the internal lenses evaporates you will be able to open the disc cover and remove the disc.

This Also happens to mee ,, your computer cant handle the hd format ,, either convert the files or get a newer pc / graphics ard wtvr ,, my playback works on laptop but not on pc :)

This is due to the Codec's. The Video's that you capture from the Camcorder have different Sound format than what you have installed in the player in your Computer.

You need to Update the Codec's or you need to use a Player that have the Format. Let me give you the Best Player i know :-

Have you tried using different brand of DVD-RW? If not, try it first so that you could isolate the problem.

If that did not help, then, try to soft reset the camcorder by removing the battery while it's on. Then put the battery back in after 5 minutes.

C00D11B1 is not a codec error, but an error related to DRM components used by Media Player 11.

You need to download the the DRM components update Patch from the link below:

Before run the Microsoft/Windows Update to ensure that Windows is up to date.

If the system is not genuine, then you may not be able to install the update.
