i experience to your problem, this your burning a VOB is very fine but it your going to open at the same dvd burner you cannot see the files inside and also if you play that to your dvd-player,.. you know this type of burning speed is the matter, maybe you burn at maximum, keep burning your files at low speed for recognizing its buffer in good result..

Does it write data OK but not scribe?? Possibly it's just dusty after years of sitting. Get a foam swab or long q tip and wet with alcohol a little, and clean off the laser lens inside. Carefully. Or use one of those disk-based cleaner thingies.

You need a driver for the soundcard that is in this PC (onboard audio?) Sometimes the setup will think it has the right card, and loads drivers, but it won't work. You need to look at the Motherboard if you have onboard and you should see VIA or some other chip pretty far away from the processor. The most common onboard audio is AC97, but a lot use CMedia and the drivers are not interchangeable. One way to try this is to go into device manager, hardware, and double click in Audio devices and find the soundcard. Right click, select properties, and hit uninstall. Then click scan and see what happens when it puts it back in. Remember to always reboot and you might get some sound. It sounds really lame, but when you put a new driver in a lot of Windows PCs will mute all sound and you have to go to Volume Control to get rid of it. I hope these ideas give you some things to try.

It looks the software for writing the DVD's that you have is corrupted. you have tried installing the latest driver, but the situation that you are going through is almost same with 60% users.
Why don't you try downloading Nero Version 9. It is very user friendly software and very easy to use. It also writes Blu-Rays.
The 9th edition is released.
If need be you can download it from below website.

They this out and you will be all set. If you are set you are free to rate me.

Best of luck.

Hello !

First, in Add/Remove programs, if Roxio is listed, uninstall.

If you downloaded the Roxio software, download again, save the file and reinstall.

If you purchased on CD, contact them to send another CD.

Hope this helps.

hi i maby can waths the problem?

NEC ND-3500A... • Answered on May 08, 2009

According to the log file, there was a spindle servo failure. The spindle servo is responsible for maintaining rotational speed accuracy. I'd say your drive is pretty much dead. See if you can read a disk in the drive. I wouldn't be surprised if it had a tough time just reading files.
