Turn the power off and on. If the H is still displayed, replace the battery.

If you have a changing bag, you can put the camera inside, open the back, remove the film, and rewind it by hand. You can also do the same in a darkroom (a photographic darkroom, not just a dark room). A good camera store can do it, though you'll probably also have to have the film processed there.

If you have any plans to use the camera in the future, you may as well invest in a battery now. You can take the battery out of the camera and set it aside to preserve the charge.

The Sure Shot Zoom S uses a 2CR5 6V lithium battery. You should be able to find one at an electronics or office-supply store. If all else fails,

Sounds like you are not getting enouth light on the film or they are being printed by the lab too light. Without more info it is hard to say. Take the pictures and camera to a camera store and see if they can help.

Hmmm, that problems posted on here a couple of times - THE H. Surely there's some info out there if you "google" the error message.

This is not a digital camera. In order to see what you are taking a picture of, you use the optical viewfinder -- a small "window" at the top center of the back of the camera. When you can see in the viewfinder what you want the picture of, slowly press the shutter button.

This answer is 8 years too late, but whatever. The PC1263 is actually the PowerShot A590 IS. To delete all photos, press the "MENU" button, select the "Playback" tab (the one that looks like a little triangle) and scroll down until you see the option "Erase All." Press the Select button and confirm. All photos will be erased.
