There isn't one. Polishing out a scratch would alter the shape of the lens and ruin the image quality. Anything which fills the scratch will also alter the optical properties.

Just live with it, even fairly bad scratches are rarely visible in the images taken with a scratched lens although they sometimes catch the light at certain angles. using a lens hood will prevent that.

99% of the time when this happens it's because the camera isn't making proper contact with the lens. If you unscrew the lens halfway you'll see it still says MF but the aperture will turn to "00". Use a clean pencil eraser to clean the contacts on the back of the lens and try again.

Ok for one if your lens works on AF and it doesn't work on M, then you have bigger problems. I think that the gearing for the lens must have jammed when it went it gets put on M, so someone in the past must have messed with it in AF and jammed the gears. Thats my guess. I would recommend getting it fixed but if your lens isn't worth as much as the fix just go buy a new one.

Sounds like your imaging sensor has failed and is not recording blue or green tones. Take your camera to a good camera store or send it to Canon for a service estimate.

This answer is 8 years too late, but whatever. The PC1263 is actually the PowerShot A590 IS. To delete all photos, press the "MENU" button, select the "Playback" tab (the one that looks like a little triangle) and scroll down until you see the option "Erase All." Press the Select button and confirm. All photos will be erased.

The camera is trying to process information to or from the memory card. If the status does not change after a few minutes, you may have a damaged memory card. Turn the camera off. Remove the memory card and inspect it. Reinsert the memory card. Can you view photos on the LCD by pressing the arrow button? If so reconnect to your computer. If not, you most likely have a damaged memory card. Try inserting the memory card into a card reader connected directly to your computer. This may be able to still read the card when your camera cannot.
