E18 lens error

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of e18 lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them. And here's a video summary of the steps:

Memory card reader for digital ixus v2 model canon camera where available and what price?

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

To down load pictures from cam

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I cannot take picture because

The IXUS V2 (Powershot S200) uses a compact flash card. Remove the card and look in its slot. I suspect that you have a bent pin in there. If so, don't fret as there's a good chance that you can fix this yourself, IF you have some patience. See this article and do it very slowly and methodically.

MEMORY BLOCKED ERROR IN MY CANON PC 1176

Your memory card has been write protected. This can be very easily fixed.
  1. Turn off cam.
  2. Take out the mem. card. (it's probably located near the battery. press down on it and release it. Then it will pop out.)
  3. Slide the small switch on the side of the card to the position marked with an unlocked padlock.
  4. Put card back in and turn on cam.
There. That's it. hope that helped.
