My canon sd10 digital camera lcd balnk/black bu
Had the same problem with my SD10. The switch in the AV port sometimes gets dirty or corroded, and tricks the camera into thinking that an AV plug is inserted. This will turn off the screen.
To fix it, repeatedly insert and remove an AV cable into the port several times. This may help break off any corrosion or dirt that may be holding this switch open.

try to change the battery or take out the memory card and battery doing this might reset the camera if not go to the menu screen and look for the reset and select yes.
LCD Scree went blank/black
No problem. Discovered that fix by accident when my camera did the same thing. Since the screen was blank, tried arranging camera setting using the camera's AV cable with the TV, and discovered that fixed it. Apparently corrosion builds up on the AV cable plug switch (which also turns the screen off when inserted), and inserting/removing the plug several times can fix it.
I can not connect my Camera to Computer
There is not any real need to connect your camera directly to your computer IF you just buy a simple card reader ($15 or so). with the card reader you remove the memory card from your computer and insert it into the card reader. Then connect the card reader to the USB port on your computer. I suggest downloading free software, Picasa3, from Google and use that to transfer the images.
I have a Canon Powershot
It could only be the lens. Make sure to clean the lens first using lens cleaner and check if that helps.
SD card
Maximum is 2GB standard SD. Do not purchase SDHC cards as they will not work for this camera
Canon UXUS i pc 1060 pictures bleached white
Hi,
I've got the same problem.
Happened just two months ago. I was outside taking pictures by a campfire, so I wonder if the smoke had something to do with it.
Movie mode is fine, but regular photos are either all white or with strange horizontal lines, not clear at all.
I'm going to open it up and reseat all the connections.
Anything else to try?
Anyone else have this problem or know what to do?

copy and paste to wherever you want.

CANON IXUSI DIGITAL CAMERA
Make sure the camera is in Replay mode (triangle), then hold down the Set button and press the Menu button. The LCD should now display a list of available languages. Release both buttons. Use the arrow keys to select 'English' and press the Set button again.
Reset my camera
Hey adolfoamen,
To reset this camera to the default settings you should turn the camera on and press and hold the menu button for at least 5 seconds and a screen should come up asking if you want to reset your settings. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Allan

did you save the pictures into the card and not the cameras memory?
If you plug the card into your pc with a card reader you can have a look inside and also there are file recovery programs available if the card has gotten corrupt but the pictures where saved in it so it can be saved. but if no pictures are saved into the card then tehre is noting to recover,
Low battery warning
It's something with the camera. I have the same camera and the same problem. I bought 2 brand new batteries, charged them, and the very first thing the camera did when I installed the new batteries was tell me that they were dead!! Grrr....
As a workaround, when it tells you the battery is dead, just open the battery door, close it, and try again. Repeat if necessary. With my camera, doing this lets me use the same battery for days and days. The battery is NOT dead - it's just a faulty warning message.
No images/picture:only right after turn on
Could be
A. Battery contacts need a clean take them out and with the end of pencil eraser clean the contact in base of the chamber.
B battery door losing tension - press it closed whilst in use.
C. an internal connector worked loose try gently squeezing around the base of the screen- this usually where the connectors are.
Do get onto Canon Tech Support Team.
Just be prepared for a no repair solution.
