Hi Vieve, The manual says nothing about flashing red and blue nor could I find anything of any real substance. Basically this thing is a box containing an IDE hard drive and some electronics that interfaces the drive with firewire, power distribution and a few other odds and ends. I suspect the board that contains the electronics may be damaged, however, its entirely possible that this may be some undocumented error that can be reset. I would try calling the vendors tech support, it?s at least worth a shot. If getting your data off is the concern it might be worth your time to buy another enclosure, install your drive and plug it into your Mac. There is a good chance your data is recoverable. Sorry I couldn?t get you a more definitive answer.

Most likely your problems is related to driver, especially sound driver. To double check if all the drivers is installed properly, go to: Computer > Right Click > Then select Manage > In the drop down menu on the left choose "Device Manager"

It should show what driver is installed and not yet installed. Do look up your driver at Emachines website for any download. After all driver is installed do reboot the computer.

It is obviously dying or incapable of supplying a sufficient flow of power to the system. Before it blows, you will want to buy yourself a new one to prevent losing other components within your system. You can find some very good power supplies at this website. Once the page loads, search for: PC Power & Cooling. After the page loads, select, "PC Power & Cooling" on the left under the category, "Manufacturer."

Make sure you find one that exceeds your power needs by about 100-150 Watts. Yes, they are expensive, but you DO NOT want to skimp on the most important aspect of the computer, power. Wen it comes to power, you get what you pay for. Almost all cheap power-supplies will last you one year and then blow. And once they blow, they frequently take other components with them. Components such as motherboards, memory, CPUs, and Video Cards.

The reason behind picking a PC Power & Cooling PSU is rather self-explanatory. Firstly, they have the highest efficiency rating of any single-rail PSU. Secondly the PSU tends to run cool, thus increasing its life span. Thirdly, they are reliable and provide a steady flow of power. All of this equates to a great power supply which will support your system for a long time.

Let me know if I can assist you further or if I need to explain anything mentioned above in more detail.

Using racks to keep your IT equipment organized is a safe and efficient method to continue daily operations at a firm. However, the physical nature of the equipment puts it at risk of structural damage, especially when located in a zone where severe weather conditions or other natural calamities like an earthquake can be devastating. Since companies need to physically safeguard their equipment, it is important to ensure that the equipment enclosure is seismic proof.
In such a situation specialized racks can help in minimizing excessive motion that could otherwise disrupt the normal functioning of the servers within an enterprise.
A couple of points to consider when operating in the seismic region include...
1.Know your zone
One among the prior things to check when installing IT equipment is the location. It is advisable to collect and analyze the local seismic data for recent years. Seismic standards are often mentioned in terms of risk zones with respect to earthquakes. The seismic zones vary from 0 to 5, with zero to three at lesser risk, and beyond three at higher. An earthquake-proof rack is highly recommended for zones three and above.
2.Install seismic server racks
Seismic racks have enhanced bases and stronger anchoring hardware to keep the rack in place and protected. For example, the best seismic rack cabinets are made in adherence to high-density applications for companies that operate in seismic zones. The best quality seismic rack like the NRSs series from Netrack India offers distinctive features. Made for high-density application in IT industry, and for IT rooms located in medium and high-risk seismic zones, this product offers four distinctive bracing option like High Tension Bracing Bolt, Anti vibration Mount Pads, Ultra Rigid Bracing frame with mandatory Top bracing to be able to mount the rack on True floor or the raised floor based on its type for the highest level of protection. Product also tackles the Airflow management issues with the accessories like Blanking Panel, Air Seal Kit & Brush module for efficiency to ensure effective airflow management within the cabinet specifically for the Data-Centre industry.

Being an active part of the digital age, we are well aware of how annoying can the buzzing noise from an equipment be. It is even more problematic when we are required to be productive, but the constant sound becomes a hindrance. This noise from active IT equipment in a high-technology workspace can lead to health issues like loss of productivity, work slowdown due to depression, and hearing impairment. Prolonged exposure can lead to serious health issues too.

Soundproof rack is an ideal option to minimize this sound. Switching to an acoustic rack can reduce the noise drastically to a level of 30 dBA. The audibility in an office space can vary anywhere between 48dBA to 78 dBA. So, if a device reduces the noise limit up to 30 dBA, it would mean the sound equivalent to that of a whisper's level. Designed specifically to get rid of the equipment noise, an acoustic rack is considered the best soundproof server cabinet as they are lined with a fire retardant, multilayer acoustic material within the inner surfaces to achieve a superior level of noise reduction from high frequency noise. Hence, the Acoustic Rack Active from Netrackis a desirable solution for such noise issues.

Soundproof rack cabinets are also equipped with Active noise-cancelling technology which is highly effective in reducing low-frequency noise. The ASFT (Active Silence Fan tray) in acoustic racks reduces the noise produced by auxiliary fans and installed equipment noise to the surrounding noise level
