When the computer freezes, press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Task Manager to restart the Windows Explorer:
    1. Locate Windows Explorer and right-click on it > select Restart.
    2. If that doesn't work, click "End task".
    3. On Task Manager, click File > Run new task
    4. Type in "explorer.exe" and click OK.

You can also start the PC in a clean boot state to check if there are other background apps which might be causing the issue:

    1. Right-click the Windows button > Select Run
    2. Type in "msconfig" without the quotes, then click OK.
    3. On the General tab, select Selective Startup. Then untick "Load startup items".
