PDA will not perform any of my commands..its

Hello, Tallman.

I'd suggest to perform a soft reset then a hard reset, if the soft reset doesn't work.

Then if necessary, as this may or may not be a simple solution, depending on your particular brand and model:

Remove the back of the PDA. Remove and reinsert the battery.

Hope this helps.

Half of the keyboard does not response, some time

If connected to a PC, check the connections, reboot and try again. If this is a laptop or the first solution does not work, replace your keyboard, it sounds as if it's worn out.
Laptop keyboards are connected with a 'ribbon' cable that can sometimes become dislodged. They are fiddly to re-connect and if you are not able or technically minded i do not suggest you DIY this repair, go to a professional.

My phone is flashing back

To start , try doing a reset by simply removing the palm battery for two minutes.
If that does not work, Palms have a reset hole at the back. Insert a paper clip in the reset hole and hold down few seconds to do reset.
If still no luck do a soft reset, by holding down a paper clip inside the pin hole switch, but this time hold down the Page Up button on the front of your PDA at the same time.
Next step is hard reset. With this reset you will lose all the data stored in your Palm.
To do hard reset, hold down again the paper clip inside pin hole button, but this time hold down the power button at the same time. This will return your PDA to factory default settings.

Here are a few things to try:
Check that the HotSync icon in showing in the system tray (bottom right hand side of the screen, next to the time).
Check that USB connections are enabled in HotSync - In HotSync V7.0.2, Right click the hotsync icon in the system tray, Click "Settings...". Click "Connections" on the menu on the left hand side and ensure that the USB option is checked.
Try rebooting your PC and also resetting the device (use a paper clip to reset the device).
You could also try reinstalling Palm Desktop, maybe even remove Palm Desktop, reboot, then reinstall Palm Desktop.

I have a palm tungsten

It has something to do with the firmware. Upgrading the firmware of your phone might help. You need to contact the manufacturer or the reseller to do it.

NOTE: Please do not try to upgrade the firmware by yourself, it might cause internal or damages on the program.

Have a great day!

I bought a refurbished Tungsten

Are you syncing the new device to the same username in Palm Desktop as an older device?
If you are, this will cause problems on the new device. When you sync the device, it saves the device settings, 3rd party apps, preferences, etc. in the backup folder in the username folder on the PC. When

you sync the new device it copies the contents of the backup folder for the old device to the new device. This will cause corruption in the settings for the new device thus causing erratic behavior of the new device.

Looks like you may need to hard reset your device and rename your backup folder

Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Next before you hotsync your data back over you will need to rename your backup folder, to do that go here;

XP
C:\program files\palm or palm one\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
folder to backup.old

Vista
Start-->documents\Palm OS Desktop\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
folder to backup.old

Then hotsync to your current hotsync name and all your contacts, calendar,
tasks, and memos will come back over.

Show file extensions for XP or Vista

XP
If you can not view file extensions on your PC I would like you to open a
folder go to Tools-->Folder Options--> View (tab) and under show hidden
files and folders uncheck hide file extensions for known file types.

Vista
Open control Panel go to Folder Options--> View (tab) and under show hidden
files and folders uncheck hide file extensions for known file types.
