Hello.
Unfortunately, the only way to restore the address info and calendar is if you have been backing up your info from your Palm to your computer. Use the bluetooth (if you have) or connect the cradle to hotsync and transfer all your info back to your Palm.
Hope this helps.

Hello.
First, install Desktop Manager on another computer and sync, just as a backup.
Then, before you sync on YOUR desktop, look for the option on the Desktop Manager to copy from the PDA to the desktop only, so you won't lose your data.
Then, after the sync, change the Desktop Manager back to 2-way sync.
Hope this helps.

The best thing to do is to go to the free palm chat service
they offer. I have used this and it worked good for me. Here is a link to the
free chat service. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Palm
Chat. From there click on the link that says Chat Now and follow the online
prompts. Best wishes...I hope this will help you.

No power and i cannot charge my palmone zire 72
Unfortunately Palm battery has a life cycle which is about 500 recharge after that will not charge well and will be end of its life. However you can replace the battery. Which can be obtained easily a 3.7V 700mA and above will work fine just make sure size will match
Zire72's on the fritz!
Plug the ac wall adapter to charge the PDA and leave it there.
When the PDA exhausted the battery charge, it needs minimum 30 minutes to charge to the minimum level to have the PDA powering on.
Once it powers on, leave it charging the battery until is fully charged (3-4 hours).
Best regards,
Palm Zire 72
Make sure your card is an "SD" card and not "SDHC" which means you can only use expansion cards up to 2GB only. There are, however 4GB SD cards, but are now either hard to find or are more expensive. There are SDHC drivers around but you have to pay for those.
It wont cut on
It sounds like the problem is either the battery itself or the metal contacts inside where you put the battery have become corroded. To replace the battery, you have to take the device apart, which can be tricky. If you buy a replacement battery online, most of the time you will receive instructions on how to perform the replacement yourself. If you don't feel comfortable doing the replacement yourself, then check with some of your local geek shops and see if that's a service they offer.
Bluetooth Internet Connection Problem
You have established a bluetooth connection between your Palm and your PC, but you probably haven't configured your internet connection to be shared with the Palm.
o do so, open My Network Places by right-clicking it and selecting Properties.
The Bluetooth Network adapter was automatically created during the Bluetooth installation. Right click the icon and select Properties.
In the General tab select the Internet Protocol components and click Properties.
Write down all the information from the next dialog, and click Cancel.
Back in the Adapter properties, select the "Sharing" tab and check "Enable Internet Connection Sharing for this connection".
Now, to configure the Bluetooth USB, right-click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and select Advanced Configuration.
Change to the Local Services tab and double click "Network Access".
Change the type of service to "Allow other devices to acces the Internet/LAN via this computer".
The alternative to this option will allow your device to connect to your computer as part of a LAN, but will not have internet access.
Note the Configure Connection Sharing button: it'll open the configuration screens we've visited before. But some Bluetooth software will not have this button, hence I guided you through the other route .
On your Palm device, a new Connection configuration is needed. From the Palm Launcher open the Prefs application, and switch to Connection.
You'll see a list of connections and will tap the New... button.
You can assign any meaningful name to this connection. Select the values as indicated in this image. Tap the device name to choose what computer will be used for this connection. Make sure your computer is in discoverable mode. If you tap the Details button you'll see the next screen.
Now create a new Network access configuration, using the connection created in the previous steps. Tap Network to go to the next screen.
Tap the New... button and enter a name for your Network access configuration. You shouldn't need a username and password. Tap the Connect button and you should see your LAN connection initiating.
To make sure the connection is working, still in the Connect dialog, tap the menu Preferences and select Options. Choose View Log and the screen you see will show the negotiation between the Palm and the DHCP server on the network.
To check your DNS is working, scroll to the bottom of this log, and enter PING and a hostname. Use the Return stroke as an Enter and
If your connection does not complete, or if your Palm shows a Timeout error, try adding a script to this connection. This is common with Palm OS 4. Newer versions of Palm OS should not need any script to work.
From the Network dialog, tap the Details button. On the next dialog tap the Script button.
On this script dialog enter the following:
SEND CR
DELAY 1
SEND CLIENT
WAITFOR CLIENTSERVER
END
Hope this works!
My Palm Zire 72 will no longer charge
At first, before to want to be sure where is the problem is, you must do these sample tests:
1) Take out your battery and plug your power cord into your phone without battery. If :
Power is on, there is definitely, your battery is bad and cannot hold a charge.
If nothing happens, your internal battery may be dead and cannot hold charge so all info in your ROM of course has been washed away except the pre-load software by Palm.
2) At this step, you need to open your Palm if you know how to do to check for any bad connection between cable and use your volmeter to check the voltage output of your inner battery or can be called reserved battery whether it is have any power. If your reserved one has correct output voltage as in specs then check all connection around your power supply part to see any crack or defect. Please reviews the link below for detail:

I hope these info will give you some hints.
Zire 72 and Outlook 2003 - I think I've tried it all! Doesn't work....
you don't need pocketmirror for zire 72 because palm desktop have outlook conduits to handle outlook synching. inorder for you to sync using outlook you must have the outlook conduits installed which seems you have it already installed. you have to disable some older conduits inorder to avoid conflicts with the conduits. to do these follow these steps:
1. right click on the hotsync manager icon on your system tray
2. click on Custom...
3. select Date Book (Outlook)
4. click on Change...
5. select Do Nothing and set it to default
6. click Ok
7. repeats steps 3-6 for Address Book (Outlook), To Do List (Outlook) and Memo Pad (Outlook)
