Battery for cameras are normally made a specific shape or size so they only fit that camera and yours is just like that. The batteries to wear out and degrade so much that they came be fully charged (or never charge) and dissipate that power in 4 minutes from full to 'not enough power to operate'. The only difference with batteries is the number of Milli Amp Hour figure, the more mAh, the longer the camera works on a charge. The spec on yours is

If you do have a recent digital camcorder, you should look in the box it came in. The camera came with a CD on it is the Capty MPEG edit EX program. That will help you to put the video on your MAC and even allow you to edit the videos.

Your screen is probably busted, as long the lens has no issues it will not effect picture and video

Try running a cleaning tape through the camcorder, the video heads may be dirty.

I have the same problem, there is an adapter from camcorder to computer. Sold at Best Buy for $50.00. I plan on purchasing one!!!
