Phone in water
This has worked for me before. I once mistakenly left my portable on the deck face up over night and it rained ( a lot)
DO NOT TURN ON TO SEE IF IT WORKS
Do NOT use hair dryer or warm air to dry it.
Remove battery and dry
Shake phone gently to get most of water out..
Dry phone as much as you can with absorbent material.
Even use a QTip in the battery compartment.
If you have any of those silica packages around from new shoes or electronics (those sandy white packages that say do not eat) wrap them around phone with elastics. These are desiccants and will absorb moisture.
Wrap phone in single layer dry absorbent material to keep dust out , secure with elastics
Put layer of rice in plastic container that is say at least 6 times bigger than phone - (doesn't have to seal perfectly) and put phone on top of rice.
Cover phone ie bury it in rice. An inch or two of rice around phone.
Put lid on
Put container with phone and rice in refrigerator. Cold air is much less humid than warm. If you have humidity control on frig turn to minimum humidity.
Leave for 2 days - longer is better.
After taking out of frig let it warm up for a while so it doesn't feel cold.
(Optional) Say prayer to whatever deity you choose
Turn on phone
