hi there, this is all i could find out at the moment. it could be the latching system i am not sure if its electronic latch or spring. start by looking there if its electronic latch take it in to a shop if its spring latch maybe the end of the spring just needs putting back on. The chances are that a switchcontact or motor is not engaging, and the unit will have to be opened up to be fixed. it is neither clear what sort of output your cctv cameras produce, nor what sort of input your dvr accepts. but, for the most part, dvrs record digital tv signals, whereas cctv cameras output analogue signals. so, even though you may be able to plug a cctv camera "straight" into a tv via a scart connector, it is unlikely that any scart connectors on a dvr have the necessary circuitry to accept such signals.
