I have a sharp camcorder
hi there,
this is all i could find out at the moment.
it could be the latching system i am not sure if its electronic latch or spring. start by looking there if its electronic latch take it in to a shop if its spring latch maybe the end of the spring just needs putting back on.
The chances are that a switchcontact or motor is not engaging, and the unit will have to be opened up to be fixed.
Oftentimes, with these older units, switch or relay contacts become oxidized over time, and fail..

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Model LC40-LE730. Why doesn't it turn on?
Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Why card reading error
Make sure the memory card is properly installed in the camera and is formatted. Also make sure it is the proper type and size rated for the camera. The connections from the camera to the memory card may be dirty or loose , also the memory card could be bad.Try a new memory card of the proper size if none of this works look for a new camera or see about having it repaired.
When i turn the camera
Hi - Sorry your having problems with your camera. I'm assuming it's a video camera. the DEW warning is telling you there is excessive moisture in the camera. I suggest you take out the tape and leave the
tape door open in a dry warm place for a couple of hours.
You could also take a hair dryer on LOW and keeping it at least six inches from the camera move it back and forth over the tape compartment for a minute or two.
Sometimes the DEW message comes on when there is no such problem which is a problem with the camera that will probably require service.
