Yes. This printer will work under windows 7.

It is located behind the small panel just to the left of paper tray #1. You will need to open the large front panel, and there is a screw that needs to be removed that is screwed down into this door. Once removed, close the main door and swing the small panel to the left. The waste toner bottle will be right behind it.

All four drum units on the 2238C are identical (part #B1909510). Each drum unit can be used for any of the colors.

As you know this code deals with tray 3, specifically the lift motor.
There are a few causes but the one I see the most is simply a sheet of paper has gotten down behind the tray and causes the sensors to be incorrectly actuated.
I would check this first and let me know if it does not fix your problem.
I would say about 90% of the time I have seen this code, the paper stuck behind the tray was the cause. Just open the paper drawers and look behind them toward the back of the machine.

You need to replace your cartridges with new ones

sc542 is a fuser code, a problem with the fuser detecting the correct temperature. If you go into service mode and reset the fuser code (I can't tell you how to do this but you can look it up online) it should go away. If not, the thermistors probably just need to be cleaned.

Option 1) Right click on the printer on the PC that it's connected to, choose share, give it a name etc.
On the PC that its NOT connected to (the other PC now), go to start, run, type the name of the other pc and then two backslashes, ( otherpc\\ ) hit enter, you will then see a window in which the printer will be displayed, right click on it and choose connect, it may take a while and possibly will prompt a security warning (accept it) - then the printer will be in the printers menu for both computers.
With this method the PC that the printer is physically connected to will need to be turned on for the other PC to be able to print.

Option 2) - does the printer have an input for network? (rj45 plug) - if so then put a lan cable into it and go through the steps in the printer menu to get it an IP address. , then add the printer on each computer by going to add printer and putting in its IP address.
This method is a bit trickier and I've really just skimmed over it - let me know if you want more details on anything.
Also with this method it helps to give the printer a static IP address in your router so that it wont change with dhcp - like I said its a bit trickier so if method 1 is ok for you then use that, or you can ask me for any more info on anything.
