I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded.
If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded.
What can I do to correct this problem?

Those printer tonners are very tricky to refill and a bad refill induse on bad printing so you can clean the drum (the round green thing) with isopropilic alchool. If it continues it indicates that the blade ( inside tonner plastic blade that cleans the excess tonner powder) is durty and you can clean it too with the same alchool. If it continues replace the tonner cartridge.

Lion has just appeared and because Apple has never divulged its characteristics to all the other hardware manufacturers, they didn't had enough time to design new drivers. Unfortunately your printer is an very old model that hasn't had new drivers for OSX since Panther, which means that the possibility of a new driver for Lion is extremely remote.
So you are now left with just 2 options:
1 - you downgrade your Mac to the previous version of OSX
or
2 - you get a new printer.

This looks like a DEP problem (Data execution Prevention) which is part of Service Pack 2 (SP2) on your computer. To solve the problem, DEP needs to be set on: DEP only for critical windows programs and services (I don't know if this is the correct translation). You will find the DEP settings on your windows help function. .

This sounds like you have a problem with your toner cartridge. Is it a generic cartridge? If it is a generic cartridge I suggest that you purchase a genuine.
If it is a genuine then you have broken gears in the fuser assembly. This is where the toner is fused to the paper just before it exits the printer.

Have you tried connecting other USB device to check if your computers USB device is still working? Have you tried using the other USB ports that you have on your computer? If you're using a USB hub disconnect it and directly connect your printer to your computer's USB port.
If you already tried those questions above try using microsoft fix, you can download it on this website: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Tips-for-solving-problems-with-USB-devices , it shows that the fix is for windows vista but it does work on windows 7.
Note: If other USB devices are working on your computer, it's better sending your printer to a local tech to check if the problem is with your printer, or you can also try connecting your printer to another computer and check if it will work, if it works then the problem is with the computer and it also means that it's going to be a long process of troubleshooting and might end up on restoring your computer to factory settings.
